Oddbean new post about login | logout @754d2f63 That sounds like a good plan. We live about 15 minutes from the beach, but not in an area prone to flooding. We haven’t had snow for the last 3 years. The summer heat /humidity can get oppressive but as long as the power grid holds it’s OK. All things considered it’s a good location. So far.

@754d2f63 Yes, because of the potential damage from wind. We live surrounded by trees. Bad nor'easters are a threat as well. Our house sits high enough that it would take a LOT of rain to flood us, although we could be cut off from major roads I suppose. It's hard to feel "weather secure" anywhere anymore.
