@djsumdog@theo h. mann my theory is it's the cville playbook on a large scale. Except instead of just James Fields it's a ton of boomers and they're not holding back to try to send a message.
What they want to do is both use it as a humiliation ritual and a reminder of what happens if you try to even protest. It's just the rest of the government and infrastructure is rotting and nobody under the age of 50 wants to try to risk everything for a dead country, or they all remembered cville. This mindset applies to the wage cage as well and so nobody except effort boomers are holding things afloat
