 Remember how there was that HUGE fight in the public eye between apple and the FBI because they refused to unlock the sacramento raghead shooter’s iphone?  

Kinda funny how that got the company the “cares about privacy” niche in the consumer eye, but it never happened ever again. Kooky. Crazy, even.

 They weren't even objecting to unlocking their phone, they were objecting to creating tools for the FBI to do it without needing to call apple.

The FBI were trying to use the emergency as leverage to get universal access, apple said "no, you have to pay us to do it."

Privacy was never a consideration for even a moment.
