Here is the TLDR:
0. I just love starting at zero, don't you. Hello India. The episode kicked off by discussing the cases of Tornado Cash and Samourai Wallet.
1. @Deleted Account gave a rundown of the state of Lightening wallets and expressed disappointment and concern that a few left the US.
2. He called out Phoenix wallet for capitulating and exiting without any direct threat. He said it is as if they were admitting "guilt". @benthecarman disagreed and said he understands why.
3. Tony softened the blow to Phoenix by saying they are the best lightening wallet. He explained why. They run a node with $100M in liquidity. They make money by taking a cut on transactions going through their channel.
4. By contrast, Mutiny steers clear from taking any fees from transactions. They are careful and deliberate in their implementation of Mutiny wallet by ensuring they do not see or touch UTXOs. I can personally attest to this fact. I lost funds and got help from Tony and Ben on Github. I didn't copy the 12-word seed phrase. I copied the wrong one 🥲
5. Tony said interestingly enough, the best lawyers within the space are crypto lawyers. Because they are operating within the bounds of the law/regulations and they know it 😂
6. They are almost done with a new app which is more akin to a Dao to fill the void of privacy tech due to attacks on the industry. They made the hard decision to not profit from it to not pollute the waters. They believe in true cypherpunk fashion, it needs to be out there for the world. They are 70% of the way through. I am on it, NOSTR!!!
7. Ben said that no one understands the first amendment. Finally. Truth 😂
8. They talked about the real threat being centralization of mining 😱 Apparently Antpool has over 50% of hashrate, but you don't "see" it because some of the pools that do not appear under the name Antpool are proxy pools. Did you all know about Gcash? They talked about how it was almost was a successful attack on the Bitcoin network. The mining pool actually told people to point away from them to save Bitcoin. Now, that's what I call bravery. They did go out of business. SPOILER ALERT, kinda like Silicon Valley.

Good morning NOSTR. I'm now in the phase whereby I use NOSTR as my personal memory chain. I won't say how old I am but let's just say, it is that time.
I just realized something. I used to watch this show called Manifest back in my normal days. Husband, child, job, cars and lots and lots of chairs.
In the show, the Mom says this saying regularly. All good things. It was the family affirmation of sorts. Not too religious. Only just but a hint.
As I was watching my regular morning show @CountBTC I had an insight that presented itself in my subconscious mind. My Mom's name is Mahasin. That is an Arabic word that means...you guessed it. All good things.

I thought a little about what you said. To be honest, I wasn't basing my definition of full immunity on a dictionary. Even though English is my second language lol. I was basing it on my lived experience, as the expression goes. I grew up in Africa and the Middle East and I was subjected to a LOT of vaccinations. More than you folks in the West. Heck, maybe we were the guinea pigs 😒 In fact, most of my "smart" cousins are doctors who advocate vaccines because that's what you study in college when you are smart 🙄 And there's that whole pesky thing about ridding the world of small pox thanks to vaccinations. Anyways, point well-taken. The point I was making is the REVERSAL of logic whereby to be protected by a vaccine, first you need other people to be vaccinated. It used to be vaccines protect you from other people, infectious or not. Hence the debasement of language. QED.
This morning I had a thought. Albeit, one that I have often. The meaning of words. That is to say, their definition.
When "authorities" change what a word means or how to use it, that is a debasement of language. Think about it. The word vaccine used to mean a treatment that confers FULL immunity so that you can move around freely without fear since you have armor or protection from said disease. Why worry who has an infection. You are vaccinated therefore immune, right?
But with the "pandemic", to be vaccinated meant that others have to be immune for you to be safe. See the underhanded change in the definition? Did you spot it? Others have to be immune, not you. That's what vaccines mean now and we didn't even need a new dictionary, Merriam-Webster.
Debasement of language is the NEW, NEW inflation. One devalues currency, the other language.
It is a brave new world indeed.

Anyways, I thought I would try it for the first time, not because I got some made up disease. Not that. It is because all of a sudden I have bags under my eyes. All those years, I never had such a problem. My sleep was good. Back when I had an Oura ring to track my sleep architecture.
I just found out that not only is Ivermectin not a good drug, it is downright dangerous. Yes, you read that correctly. Don't take my word for it. Here's a video you should watch and decide for yourself. You're welcome.

I was thinking about Stephen Hawking and the woman who told him, "the earth is flat and it is turtles all the way down." That was one of the original memes. The word meme is courtesy of Richard Dawkins, a stanch atheist.
All of a sudden, I thought, "is it turtles all the way up?" What I mean by that is, how did existence come to be? I know about the Big Bang Theory and all. I also was educated in religious schools, Muslim (Sudan, Saudi Arabia) and Catholic (Williamsburg, VA). That is to say, I know about God creating the world in 7 days. Yes, it is the same story in Christianity and Islam. Surprised?
But just like a fish in a fish bowl can't "see" past its world (the bowl) and "feels" something is off because that isn't its natural habitat (the river, the sea, the ocean), we humans keep asking ourself what is the meaning of life? Where do come from? If God created us, who created God? What is the beginning of the beginning?
Maybe we are two lost souls living in a fish bowl year after year. Pink Floyd.
Maybe we, like the fish, are not in our "natural habitat" and we need help getting back home. Bitcoin fixes this.

On Wealth #It'sOn
There is a thesis courtesy of Allan Farrington that Gross Domestic Product, otherwise known as GDP, is a misleading metric for measuring the performance of a nation state. My bad. I was totally conceptualizing wealth in GDP terms. When you are an unapologetic Economist reader. Not anymore. I lost my free access. Getting back on topic. Apparently, GDP is a better measure of an organization's ability to destroy wealth rather than capture it. Shocking. This leads me to think that our own measurement as individuals through the metric known as "net worth" is probably the wrong way to think of our economic value. That is, our worthiness as a creditor. Instead, we should be judged on our ability to transform or translate given credit to true value or desirable good. In other words, wealth. Let me say that again. When people take on debit, and in return, produce something that people want, need, or desire, that is wealth. Yet, that is not how we do things. We have it all wrong. We need a revisionist history on that. A great injustice has been carried out and people are supposedly non-the-wiser. They look askance when the hand of true justice points the finger at them. Not me, they want to say. Not my fault. I didn't know. Bullshit, I say in response. You knew all along. You had a front row seat. You chose to look the other way. You took the money. You sold your soul to the devil, all the while claiming the moral high ground. What insult to injury. Instead of making useless arguments that no one in their right mind would believe, how about you do the right thing. Not apologize. That is an empty gesture and words are cheap. Do something. Change the system. Change your ways. Maya Angelou famously said, "when you know better, you do better". Which is funny if you think about it because "ignorance of the law" is also no excuse, as we are told by those who enforce the law. I turn it back to them. How do you explain the blatant criminality then? Pray tell, how is it that you are able to rob, steal, injure and kill with impunity in the name of bravery, humanity and freedom? When was the last time you admitted THE TRUTH. Not my truth, your truth, their truth. In the end, those who right the ship, find the righteous path, take the arduous journey are rewarded for their courage, strong-will, and character. Resist temptations, small lies, justifications of clear wrong-doings. If you don't the devil will take your spirit as promised. Don't cry foul. You have no leg to stand on. Amen.

Well, I just was listening to Scott Adam
of Dilbert cartoon fame, and he was arguing about the weaponization of our justice system. He calls it lawfare (as opposed to warfare). Get it?
Then I was struck with a thought (as I have the annoying tendency to do) that the idea that there is tension between the spirit of the law versus the letter of the law, is another way of exposing the territory is not the map.
The spirit of is the territory and the letter is the map.

We have all heard the expression that you are your own worst enemy. Today, I intuited a new variation on that theme from a TED talk I watched on infinite games by Simon Sindek.
You are your own competition, rival, adversary and standard bearer.
As soon as you catch yourself comparing yourself to others or in mid-judgement, as you do (otherwise someone issue a quick sainthood over here), immediately look down and behold yourself. That should always be the focus and drive for your success, your own betterment, your excellence. Not how you measure up against other people.
The only reason, in my book, to look at other people is for admiration and then inspiration. Other people show you through their actions and achievement what is possible. Then turn inward and continue your journey, young padwan. One day, if you're lucky, you can be that hero for others.

@petermccormack I love you but you are wrong and Mark Moss is right. At least in this instance. Before you get upset, let me explain. The person who toils for 20 years, honing their skill, up-leveling their "game" because they know what they want and are willing to work for it is more honest and moral (yes, I said moral) than the "volunteer" who is sacrificing their "time" to supposedly help others. The thing is nobody, and I mean nobody is truly generose. Why? Well because even when someone does a good deed, they get something in return. Whether that be an intrinsic good feeling, a self-appointed halo, or a healthy community for "the better to live-in, my dear". Etc, etc.. The only difference is, are you explicit about your returns through these acts of altruisms or not. As Saylor famously said, "there is no free lunch." Which leads me to my next point. As an engineer, we are painfully aware of gravity and friction. The good news is that you don't have to be an engineer to understand slippage and real world costs. And as a Bitcoiner, you are even more expected to make the case for why real costs matter. How else is Bitcoin valuable if it didn't require proof-of-work to issue Bitcoin in the real world. Notice how I keep "saying" real world, real life, real cost. That's because other digital "money" missed that fundamental point completely. Ethereum admits their tokens are "make belief" currency. Eth-heads live in an alternate reality created by programmers and would-be financiers completely devoid or real world consequences, by design. They reject nature, God and physics and would rather live in a man-made world. Not to get "religulous a la Bill Maher" but last time I checked, worshipping at the altar of human imaginations leads to idolatry. For those not classically trained, that means decomposition and decay. Religion is not there to constrain and admonish us. It is a system of beliefs honed over millennia to ensure our species survival. That's why ignoring the nature and purpose of the universe is outright dangerous and immoral. The universe requires real cost in the form of friction. Humans are the ultimate "friction machines". By creation, as God intended. We humans cannot escape our nature, we always want something. Even if we pretend to do something out of the goodness of our heart. Ultimately, we want love and acceptance. Maybe that's why some people who appear good and saintly are not that in the least. They disguise their true intentions and desires under the veil of generosity. In reality, nothing can be further than the truth. It is no excuse if that deep knowledge driving your seemingly self-less mission is somehow not stated publicly or privately. We are all tasked with knowing ourselves and understanding why we do what we do. Otherwise, how are we different than animals with base urges. Right? So, Peter McCormack, the person who is "generous" is not only dishonest and immoral but nothing short of a thief. They want payment. But they choose to get that due in a hidden manner, without your knowledge. They creep in the middle of the night, taking what they think is their's, all the while justifying their wrong-doing because of their "generosity." I don't know about you but I prefer the person who tells me what they want in exchange for what I'm offering without impropriety. I can say "No" and walk away. But how do you say "No" to a "saint"? That's how they get you. It's dangerous out there. Don't get scammed. The end.

My only question on electric vehicles is I heard on a health podcast that I follow that the battery used to power the car is bad for our health. Similar to the 5G and EMF impact on our bodies. Tesla cars are beautiful but if bad for health, I would want to know that:)
