@7dc5a2e3 @749d2a0c @a61fc147 I might have to give Proton another look.  I tried them out a few months back but didn't stick with it.  At this point gmail is my only remaining link to Google, though admittedly it's far easier to dump Google as an Apple user (which I am).

 @43d7c4ea Yeah, I figured ads were pretty much inevitable once Meta bought them. A lot of the folks I use it with are in Mexico and I think it would be difficult to get them to change at this point.  I also understand the resistance to smartphones, as I was a somewhat late adopter myself (2016).  But now I find having a smartphone very useful when I'm out and about.  I don't live on my phone, though, thank God! 

 @1f749671 Starting to see the signs here as well.  I don't think it's even made it to 70 degrees here today and we had a pretty hot summer in Albuquerque.  We've also been getting a bit of rain the past couple of days.
