@43d7c4ea Yeah, I figured ads were pretty much inevitable once Meta bought them. A lot of the folks I use it with are in Mexico and I think it would be difficult to get them to change at this point.  I also understand the resistance to smartphones, as I was a somewhat late adopter myself (2016).  But now I find having a smartphone very useful when I'm out and about.  I don't live on my phone, though, thank God!

Yes, I feel that I may finally have to transit to a smartphone when my dumbphone finally gives up the ghost, but for now (given I'm retired) I manage just fine (even if it frustrates friends & family at times)
