Thank you for making us aware of this speech. Just watched it and find it truly wonderful he stood there and basically relayed the BTC message around freedom in every aspect for everyone. I just hope nothing happens to him, as has in the past with leaders trying to cut ties from this tyranny.
That stat of the halving every 6 years really hit me. When you think of your earnings in that context it is just mind blowing. If we didn't have the falling of prices as per @Jeff Booth's theory offsetting some of it...once you digest the magnitude you come to the conclusion on how criminal/evil this is! Current discussion and speculation around the 25 v. 50 fed cut is fascinating when coming from a bitcoin standard. Also makes the current system look as dysfunctional as it is, if this has such an influence!

Awareness is growing and spreading. In countries that have been spared of high inflation, the current context has a positive and that is we can address the topic and ppl are more likely to listen. This coupled with the ability to have bitcoin as a denominator give us the tools. Post the storm there will be sunshine.

So yesterday I went to a shop and wanted to pay with the 10 swiss franc note below...hadn't been here for a while. The lady told me, these are not valid anymore 🤔... I had 3 of them. @Jeff Booth, made me think of what you always say....pieces if paper, worthless in this case! My sats will still be useful to my kids one day wherever they go 😃, that is guaranteed!

The Bitcoin Monetary Science - It's a fascinating time to be in and learn about the Bitcoin monetary system and its effect on société, changing incentive etc. This is all new, and I find it so interesting to see how this science or field is evolving. All these books and podcasts exploring theories, feeding of eachother's ideas, hypothesising about the impact on really all facets of life. We will look back at this time and think of Saif, Jeff, Lyn, Parker to name just a few of the writers I've enjoyed as the founders of this new academic field... I can foresee a future when this will be taught at universties as a course of its own. I think the rabbit hole analogy is wrong, eventhough I'm going down it myself. A rabbit hole is narrow, dark and constraining. Whereas the feeling you get is more like enlightment and freedom. Thanks to all that are contributing to this emerging field!

Hi all, I'm new to nostr and wonder when we post a link to (for example) a youtube video how can we ensure that content is decentralised and can't be censored? So others can view it even if it was pulled? Might be important one day 🙂

So everybody is trying to explain why the price of Bitcoin is going sideways...Miners selling, Mt Gox, ppl taking profits etc. What I don't understand is why would the history of price manipulation for Gold or Silver not apply to BTC? And don't get me wrong, I hope it is different, just don't understand the details. Hope someone can explain..

Great discussion Nat! Re the powerlaw it is important to realise that it is referencing US$, paper money which is not a correct reference as it is being manipulated. The time scale is ok.
