The only political spin on it was saying how Blair's institution is a war mongering think tank - nowadays mainstream opinion at least in Britain.

Nuclear war won't destroy the planet. Finland will actually be in a relatively good place if a nuclear war happened and they avoided it, due to low population density and alternative food sources other than agriculture.
