@63a30250 the pro Russian shills sure are plentiful recently

I wonder what happened

But sure, Finland should keep the old status quo of assuming Russia won't invade. That worked so well in the past!
@b95974ac yeah now if war breaks out between the US and Russia they'll likely have dozens of nukes heading their way.

All to avoid getting invaded by a country who's military has been destroyed and can't beat a couple of farmers in Ukraine right?

Right?
@63a30250 hehe are you getting rubles for this nonsense, or did you really gulp up such massive amounts of Ru propaganda that you find this nonsense credible?
@b95974ac wait what? Are you sure you're not getting robles?

You're saying Russia's military hasn't been destroyed and they're a credible threat to everyone on their borders?
@63a30250 Russia's army was largely destroyed, yes

Because the west provided the Ukrainian army with superior weaponry, and because Ukrainians are fighting like hell for a cause they believe in

If a nuclear war starts, whether or not Finland is in NATO won't matter.

Being in NATO means Russia will not invade.

Ukraine sure wishes it was in NATO prior to 2022

Finland did the right thing, making aggression not pay off.

China is watching too.
@b95974ac errr getting aimed at or not in a nuclear war absolutely matters. 🤦‍♀️

So if Russia's army has been destroyed we can cut military spending and actually I dunno spend some money on health care right?

Great!
@63a30250 the German army was destroyed in WWI. It took them 6 years only to rebuild.

Russia will rebuild. NATO is the guarantee that Russia won't dare.

And no, a nuclear war will destroy the planet, it's MAD for entire planet. Whether or not you're in NATO you'll be dead, as everyone else.

NATO membership will make sure Russia will tame its genocidal aggression.
@b95974ac 6 years for the Germany army to build after WW1?

That's absolutely ridiculous.

Nuclear war won't destroy the planet. Finland will actually be in a relatively good place if a nuclear war happened and they avoided it, due to low population density and alternative food sources other than agriculture.

But fine, let's all see the Finns get killed just cuz we love military alliances, and rather than learn the lessons of WW1, we'll let's just repeat them. 🤦‍♀️
@63a30250 heard of a "nuclear winter"?

And no, inside NATO there's far less chances of Russian aggression in general

Appeasing dictators only leads to *more* aggression, and Finland is far safer under the NATO umbrella
@b95974ac nuclear winter won't destroy the planet.

It'll wreck agriculture for a few years, but there are other food sources, especially for the Finns.

Appeasing dictators?

The US has put more dictators in power than any other world power in history.

I'm not interested in you trying to justify US hegemony. Thanks.
@63a30250 nuclear winter will destroy 99% of agricultural output

Virtually all of humanity will die, including in Finland.

It will take many decades to recover the planet.

It won't come to this, and optimizing for a better outcome in this scenario, rather than optimizing prevention of this scenario is absolutely ridiculous.

NATO will prevent nuclear war, by discouraging Russian aggression.
@b95974ac NATO will cause nuclear war, by starting a war, we see it aggressively expanding across the globe, including into the Pacific.

All to maintain a dying empire.

We don't want it over here.

Sod off and take your NATO with you.

And all the US-backed and installed dictators too.
@63a30250 haha, this is a ridiculous Kremlin talking point

@b95974ac everything you've said is a NATO talking point, laced with historical inaccuarices.

There needs to be peace in Ukraine and the US occupation of Europe needs to end. We don't wanna be dragged down with a desperate and dying hegemon.
@63a30250 there's no US occupation of Europe, that's ridiculous

And you reiterating Kremlin talking points, one of the most deceitful, genocidal organisations on Earth, is not in any way equivalent to the talking points of any other.

Countries *choose* to join NATO.

Finland's population is smarter than you - they *wanted* to join NATO
@b95974ac there's over 100,000 US troops in Europe across at least eight major garrisons.

They've been here since the end of WW2. Like the bases still in Japan, we don't want them here.
