@63a30250 heard of a "nuclear winter"?

And no, inside NATO there's far less chances of Russian aggression in general

Appeasing dictators only leads to *more* aggression, and Finland is far safer under the NATO umbrella
@b95974ac nuclear winter won't destroy the planet.

It'll wreck agriculture for a few years, but there are other food sources, especially for the Finns.

Appeasing dictators?

The US has put more dictators in power than any other world power in history.

I'm not interested in you trying to justify US hegemony. Thanks.
@63a30250 nuclear winter will destroy 99% of agricultural output

Virtually all of humanity will die, including in Finland.

It will take many decades to recover the planet.

It won't come to this, and optimizing for a better outcome in this scenario, rather than optimizing prevention of this scenario is absolutely ridiculous.

NATO will prevent nuclear war, by discouraging Russian aggression.
@b95974ac NATO will cause nuclear war, by starting a war, we see it aggressively expanding across the globe, including into the Pacific.

All to maintain a dying empire.

We don't want it over here.

Sod off and take your NATO with you.

And all the US-backed and installed dictators too.
@63a30250 haha, this is a ridiculous Kremlin talking point

@b95974ac everything you've said is a NATO talking point, laced with historical inaccuarices.

There needs to be peace in Ukraine and the US occupation of Europe needs to end. We don't wanna be dragged down with a desperate and dying hegemon.
@63a30250 there's no US occupation of Europe, that's ridiculous

And you reiterating Kremlin talking points, one of the most deceitful, genocidal organisations on Earth, is not in any way equivalent to the talking points of any other.

Countries *choose* to join NATO.

Finland's population is smarter than you - they *wanted* to join NATO
@b95974ac there's over 100,000 US troops in Europe across at least eight major garrisons.

They've been here since the end of WW2. Like the bases still in Japan, we don't want them here.
