#WordWeavers 10/5. How often do you discuss your writing with your real-life friends and family?
My partner and one of my best friends are the ones who know the most about my writing. Likewise they are the most encouraging. I find that acquaintances tend to be the most interested, family the least.

5. What are your writing project goals?
For the last few years writing was my primary focus until I sortacompleted this phase of the project. My partner and I have been working on turning it into an audiobook/radioplay and I just commissioned a bit of music for an instrument that's being played by a character. I haven't written much in the last few months. I'm trying to figure out my life goals over my writing goals, I think.
I got this book about freeing yourself from shame and guilt as a gift this year, and since I told people about it, two more people ended up buying it too. This one is about the neuroaffective relational model by Laurence Heller. I've been dealing with tension and increasingly chronic pain. I don't know yet if some of the solution is in the subject of shame and guilt, but it's worthwhile regardless. I think many of us deal with much more of this than we realise. #mentalhealth #chronicpain #shame

So what do people think about #Bluesky ? A colleague of mine ended up giving up on Twitter now too and moved to Bluesky - for the time being anyway. I had given up on Twitter long, long ago because I found it overwhelming. I quite enjoy interacting with people here but sometimes I wonder where we should be present as self-employed professionals, too. Hard to escape social media, right? Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts on Bluesky.
Yesterday a friend of ours came over and eventually said "So, Julia. You bought a new camera?" because I kept experimenting with my new Sony a7iv, getting all my settings down pat. I answered "Yes, I invested in my joy." The words just came out. Today I'm just archiving and filtering photos. Next week there will be more time for the new camera as I get to take a couple of days off. Can't wait. Here is a bastard speedwell, apparently. #bloomscrolling #macro #photography

I started experimenting with a mirror on a photo walk recently. The results so far don't wow me yet. I always find it a bit hard doing this sort of stuff in public with passers by. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go further out into nature with fewer people. Often it takes me like 15-30 minutes before I start getting the shot. I didn't take that time in the city. But I'm really interested in this weird play with focus and light. #photography #creativity

@21c1b52f I just went on a walk in the city with my camera. It's an amazing golden autumn day and Vienna flows beautifully. But I still find that what I love capturing the most are plants and petals. No matter how close you get, there is more complexity to discover. So I get your fascination completely :)
#WordWeavers What animal would you like as a muse and why?
My muse is a lynx. At first I made him my protagonist's companion but eventually he came to tell the story himself.
A pro told me I should nix him. It made me very protective of him. I can accept a lot of criticism and I did really get rid of some of my darlings. But he must stay. In fact, my partner Alex, who has the most beautiful voice I know, lent it to him. We started practicing and recording for our radioplay/ebook+ #creativity
About #blogging : Is there actually a platform where people blog still? I mean, not just hosting your own blog somewhere through Wordpress or whatever, but a social network of some sort. I've been experimenting with Tumblr again recently because I've always quite liked the interface but I just wonder if blogging and connecting through it still is a thing somewhere else. #WritingCommunity
