So what do people think about #Bluesky ? A colleague of mine ended up giving up on Twitter now too and moved to Bluesky - for the time being anyway. I had given up on Twitter long, long ago because I found it overwhelming. I quite enjoy interacting with people here but sometimes I wonder where we should be present as self-employed professionals, too. Hard to escape social media, right? Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts on Bluesky.

The people who chased me around Twitter, found me on Blue Sky, too. But on Blue Sky all the messages were public, so all the death threats were all out in the open - and reporting them did exactly bupkus.
I was on the #Bluesky beta and had 0 engagement. I found it very similar to Twitter and gave it up as well.

Now I’m focusing on Nostr but the difficulty is to find content that doesn’t transform your feed to an echo chamber.

Since you are self employed, I would stick to Twitter for the visibility.

There is no shame to do marketing to grow as a self employed.

Don’t worry about people judging you, in the end, they won’t be the ones paying your bills….
