I honestly have no clue because there's nothing in Deuteronomy 21 that fits. I mean, there is something about raping female captives, stoning sons you don't like, and the rights of firstborn. So unless I'm forgetting something, nothing that fits at all.
Definitely. And there is a lot of shouting being done. As in, a lot of it. And just ignoring it over and over again tends to get pretty tiring after a while. I personally find that a more centralised structure also makes it easier to compile a list of resources and the like.
To be fair, those old-fashioned methods of food production wouldn't be able to feed even half the current world population. What we really need is increased efficiency paired with increasing quality requirements and environmental standards. Which, very importantly, includes getting rid of this strange idea that there's anything romantic about farming. That idea only exists in the minds of people who have never been on a farm.
That partially is true, but sometimes rehashing arguments, especially in a slightly different social context can be very helpful to come to a better understanding. It's the difference between reading about something and discussing it. One leads to much more thought than the other.
