 Definitely. And there is a lot of shouting being done. As in, a lot of it. And just ignoring it over and over again tends to get pretty tiring after a while. I personally find that a more centralised structure also makes it easier to compile a list of resources and the like.

 And most importantly it compiles a centralized narrative so women can grow on a shared foundation instead of discovering the basics all over again every day and/or squabbling over them, leading to zero progress. I don't know what anglophone feminist internet was like before reddit GC but it seems to suggest at least some organization judging by the fact that organized mindset was carried over to GC which resulted in new terms being created (M/FTT and TIM/F) and recurrent ideas (it's a fetish). It all comes from reddit GC, nothing new was invented since. I think the very term "gender critical" comes from reddit but I might be mistaken. Now no matter how great and insightful your discovery is, it is forgotten tomorrow.
