Afaik it has to do with whether or not you 1) have to reveal the trustee forcing you to temporarily assigning a third party or 2) can get away without revealing the trustee.
They were brain wallets. I kept the phrases used to generate them just in case. Most people moved em but the remaining two will finally be taking custody now.
Just sent the following to my meetup attendees:
Happy all-time high everyone!
It has been a great 3.5 years using Meetup to host our gatherings. The platform has decided to increase prices from $200 to $358 per year. When I reached out to open a dialogue, they only replied via AI bot (with no useful info). They claim they will be offering new features, but it's apparent that they just want to squeeze as much out of our group while reducing support as possible.
I would happily pay $358 out of my own pocket if I felt our group would get something out of it besides leveraging the market share of a platform that will only rest on its laurels. So we're moving to Luma, who won't charge us anything and has a more sleek (in my opinion) user experience. You can subscribe to our calendar [here](https://lu.ma/calendar/cal-EnwhVshZlVjIky1).
Nothing else changes, we will be at Quantum Brewing on the second Thursday of the month for the foreseeable future. Tick tock, next block.
Cheers,
Corey San Diego
I had the same situation. Couldnt reliably connect to start9 on lan so i installed jellyfin on my spare laptop. Works pretty well, cant get the phone app to connect half the time, which is annoying.
I was able to add start9 but its showing as "not connected" in the android tailscale app. Running the status check gives
> Error: can only create exec sessions on running containers: container state improper
Posting to Luma now too. https://lu.ma/31vsq38n
