Took some tinkering to get everyone to play together:
Amethyst running internal tor, Citrine local and exposed onion service nostr relay, SimpleX to connect to my self hosted servers via proxy, Bitwarden to connect to Start9 via Orbot running in power user mode with Mullvad as VPN on new Graphene OS Pixel 6a
There are lots of takes on what makes good privacy. Some think tor makes you stand out and orbot has leaks. Many VPN are surely not doing what they say. I like to run onion instances so I use it. But I understand there is no perfect privacy. More interested in learning about how to use things.
I found that Bitwarden needs orbot running as vpn to add new item to it or autofill. But you can open and copy passwords without orbot in vpn mode.
All the other apps and connectivity back to Start9 onion services that I use on my phone seem to work fine with orbot not as a vpn but on in background. Play around with Orbot in power user mode.
I now am waiting for Stsrt9 clearnet to obsolve the Bitwarden autofill without orbot vpn behind Mullvad.
Dam it feels great to top up Mullvad VPN for a year from zaps at the ATH!
GliNet GUI update for Flint1800 route is fire and running Mullvad VPN with built in wireguard on the router is crazy simple.
OPNSense GUI update is also very nice
