@80dbd484 yeah, that's why it's 99.9% chance it was not accidental. If the casual (yet observant) viewer is likely to recognize it, surely the people steeped in cinema lore know what they're doing.
@80dbd484 Almost certain it was intentional, but whether it is *significant* is the real question. It could be the set designer just doing a kind of wink-wink-nod, or it could be the director/writer/art department working together to make an intentional reference that pertains to the story.
@b8bd0c8f ha, I feel the same way about S2 of Foundation! It’s becoming painful to watch due to the pacing, and the “so many characters in so many places” issue.
@5ff6fd7b Yeah I haven't read the books, either. I wasn't too confused during S1, just annoyed with the main white guy. I think his acting bugged me, for some reason.
I watched Season 1 of Wheel of Time about a year ago.
Started watching Season 2 tonight without bothering to re-watch S1, and even with the "recap" I'm like "hmm, yes, I remember most of these faces, but I have no idea who they are or where they are or how they got here, or wtF is going on." 😩
Comping vocals and I've only gone] through one verse, thanks to a headache and me singing so consistently* from take to take that slight variations probably don't make THAT big of a difference, and it's giving me Analysis Paralysis. :AAAAAA:
*this is not a brag, btw. I wish I had done better about deliberately varying the way I sang each phrase. It would make choosing easier!

Conversely, did you eat something heavy or greasy recently? Or drink something unhealthy? Sugar crash?
Also could be hormonal fluctuations, or a change in barometric pressure.

@12e8df74 I tried looking it up, but there are conflicting studies. Since it’s a grass, it might not be as effective as trees. I’ve heard about companies that use bamboo in their manufacturing cutting down forests to grow bamboo, and that can’t be good.

Do companies program female voices and use female bodies/faces on their products so they seem more friendly? That way you’re not on your guard as they destroy the fabric of society? It’s like they know men look and sound more threatening (especially tech bros).
