 @80dbd484 Almost certain it was intentional, but whether it is *significant* is the real question. It could be the set designer just doing a kind of wink-wink-nod, or it could be the director/writer/art department working together to make an intentional reference that pertains to the story. 
 @c53d74b8 Yeah I don't think anyone in set design uses The Shining carpet pattern on accident. Confession: I haven't even seen the movie and even I immediately recognize it, that's how iconic it is. 
 @80dbd484 yeah, that's why it's 99.9% chance it was not accidental. If the casual (yet observant) viewer is likely to recognize it, surely the people steeped in cinema lore know what they're doing.
