I also don't think the timing was right either. Things don't happen overnight in most cases. Would we have liked it sooner? Sure, but we aren't running the SEC. I'm sure a lot of stances and opinions had to change for it to happen.

I've seen people mention before that they'd like notifications for when certain npubs post to Nostr. Nostur on iOS does this already. For us Android folks, I'm assuming that this could be done with Pokey. Maybe nostr:nprofile1qqsxg45ph8gx0vdrvtzta6xal7v86frx6jvstsnvhrlvtehmwwh4epqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuvrcvd5xzapwvdhk6tcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9nhwden5te0v4jx2m3wdehhxarj9ekxzmny9ua2vh28 could implement a subscription section, where you can add npubs to subscribe to, and you'd get notifications for when they create a new note. The technical hurdle here would be then subscribing to that npub's relays and watching them for new notes and having to do so for every npub that you're subscribing to, right? That doesn't sound efficient or battery friendly. Maybe another, better method exists?

I don't own a Blockclock. I've wanted one for years though. They're expensive. So, I never bought one. I figured it was better to spend those funds on more bitcoin.

Sure... We don't really have a super Gen Alpha friendly app IMO. It's going to take some work to build that experience for them, IMO. Otherwise, I don't think they'd stick around.

That said, I do, I played all of my youth, coached a couple years in my early 20s, and my daughter plays now. We look forward to seeing a World Cup game here in the USA in 2026.
It was simple, yet I was very impressed to see him thinking and figuring things out. So, so, so proud.
He struggles a bit in school, so I'm hoping this is something for him to truly enjoy doing and focus on.
It's slowly grown over the last 30 years IMO. When I was a kid, we had a small league with both boys and girls playing in the same league. We had a boys high school team. Now, we have separate boys and girls youth leagues, more age brackets, and middle school teams and high school teama for both boys and girls.
People here still gont get the rules though. At my daughter's game I kept saying that a girl on the other team was offsides and yelled to my daughter to continue cherry picking until the refs see it. I had a grandma tell me that they can't be offsides when they have the ball. She was a real Karen about it. I explained to her how it all works and that I've played and coached for many years. Her husband packed up his fold up chair and walked to the car after that. I wasn't mean about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
