I've been thinking of different ways nostr could be used and brought to light some app/products/nostr ideas.
The first thing is, nostr to me is just a electric signature to your data. The verification of who you are. Why is there is no good nsec storing devices. Like for example, if I wanna sign into nostr:nprofile1qqsv73dxhgfk8tt76gf6q788zrfyz9dwwgwfk3aar6l5gk82a76v9fgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eekummjwsh8xmmrd9skctcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0dutak6 on my phone, I gotta copy and paste in my nsec because there's no signer app like getalby on my phone. What if there was a OS feature for your phone that stored your nsec privately so you could just auto login to all your apps/websites security. Who would need a million different email and password combos.
This kinda let me down another train of thought. What about the physical realm instead of the digital realm. Say I was playing lazer tag at lazerquest, imagine I could tap my phone on a nfc reader and my display name with my avatar pops ups on the display board showing the score. In real life awards and achievements could be automatically generated and handed out which gives more credibility to a user. Especially if the user has to physically show up to a location and physically do something to achieve that badge.
Badges could be the nft killer.
It's as simple as a true or false statement.
If user has badge is true, then give him exclusive content.
If user doesn't have badge. Content visible false lol.
Imagine you play a game with nostr intergrate in it. You beat the game and get award with badge. Cross marketing.
Imagine if the nostr:nprofile1qqs9n7lwwd5a7acnmwl6nw7mpzfvvt46j2fryc2udle8sldrsn9hwrcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszxrhwden5te0wfjkccte9e3h2unjv4h8gtnx095j7qgawaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6at5d9h8jampd3kx2apwvdhk6tcz7rqlr handed out nostr badges to those who have purchased a ticket and then you go into damus app after nostr there is a bitcoin conference themed color scheme.
One more cool idea. Imagine you run a business like nostr:nprofile1qqstvj22wngc5t0687qvak06mt34spm3dl8pqu0ymcv7946xkmv8vpspzemhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejz7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejz7qgewaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmp0wt4zqy and you host some kinda event like triva night or a eatting challenge. When you frame there photo on the wall, include a NFC chip behind the photo with a QR code linking to their npub (basically the url would be nostr:npub123) and award them with a badge from the offical account. I can imagine pubkey hosting a pizza eatting contest on pizza day and the winner having wins on top of his prize a badge that gives his a pizza theme for his damus or amethyst app 😆. You could also in theory on the pubkey website for example display a nostr feed of who has been award the badge so you don't even need to update the site with that info. It would auto generate once you award the badge.
