We haven't seen this. Which browser do you use? What are your repro steps? Is it just selecting "Repost note"?

 At Primal, we index Nostr data for the sole purpose of providing discovery features to our users. 

Our entire software stack is open under the MIT license. That means that anyone can use our software to do exactly the same thing we are doing. I believe that our indexer is the only open source indexer on Nostr; please correct me if I am wrong. 

It should be understood that Nostr is a radically open network. The social graph and all published data are publicly visible by everyone. Running an indexer is not hard, so I don’t think that “selling this data to advertising agencies” will be a competitive business. Anyone who wants to have this data will have it easily enough.

This is a vanilla NIP-04 implementation for now. We are keeping an eye on the developments around DM research. If another approach gets traction among clients and relays, we will lean into it.

 Not exactly the cache service, but yes - this is being done on the backend.  

 Primal uses this to publish the list of suspected spam accounts (detected by our spam detection algo), so that other clients can use it - if they wish.

We've made improvements on both of these points. The editor issue with the ":" character was related to our emoji popup, but should be fixed now. If you are still experiencing it, please let me know which page you are on (main post, reply, or DMs) and which exact sequence of characters is producing the error. 

As for seeing notes immediately after you post them - this should now be fixed too. Please make sure you are using the latest build of our web app (maybe shift+reload) and let me know if you are still experiencing issues.
