Stop asking people to choose between fascism and communism.
It’s fucked up and humanity deserves better.
Bitcoiners should know better than most, it doesn’t have to be this way. I hope more and more folks wake up!
Honestly can’t wait to see this. The first Smile was one of my favorite horror/psychological thrillers I’ve seen in a very long time!
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/smile_2
People talk about WWIII as a possibility.
Folks, it’s already here. Kicked off by Russia, amplified with Hamas attack/Gaza, now North Korea sending troops to Russia, Iran alliances strengthening.
The next few years is bound to be quite tumultuous 😕
“It’s not simply a new asset class, or a toy for Wall Street, it is a foundation for revolutionary self-organization to solve the problems that governments either can’t, or actively create themselves. It’s for us, not them.”

Whether you like it or not, two things are true
Bitcoin miners will scour the earth for the cheapest, and usually wasted, energy
Bitcoiners will scour the earth to preserve their Bitcoin stack and wealth, and these taxes do nothing to those not selling.

You cannot be a supporter of don’t trust; verify
While also putting blind faith in a politician to fix all the problems and save the world
In America, we don’t pride ourselves on worshipping kings. We pride ourselves on our belief in fundamental inalienable rights to all people and a healthy skepticism of all those who seek power.
I cannot take you seriously if you king worship Donald Trump and Elon Musk (or Kamala Harris! Just less of that here…). I assume your values are corruptible, and you can be easily swayed and manipulated.
The election is right around the corner.
How Bitcoin can help progressives, and show us all a bright, post-partisan future.

I’ve decided, I will vote for whichever presidential candidate that vows to completely outlaw and ban super sticky warning labels on baby/nursery furniture that doesn’t peel off nice and ruins your things.
It must be stopped now!
None of them have any clue what a fucking paradigm shift Bitcoin is.
Economists, politicians, investors
Have no clue. Can’t make sense of it.
It’s not a past to be examined. It’s a future to embrace, where everyone can participate. No tricks, no secrets, no “market” to be “protected” against
Bitcoin is the sorcerers stone. It’s a black hole.
“Protect consumers” and vague promises to black men in an attempt to garner votes is the same way and language Senator Warren uses when talking about “protecting consumers” amidst her illegal and unamerican legislation against bitcoin.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve felt pretty sure the past couple of months that the Harris campaign would be going nowhere regarding bitcoin or give any sense that they get anything about it (financial inclusion, banking the unbanked, etc). But this is just sad.
We fight on, ready to resist. Both Harris and Trump may be keen on going against civil liberties.

Donald Trump will slowly fade on Bitcoin
He likes control, manipulation, and conning. That’s why he’s building and promoting shitcoins, with pre-mines, back doors, and centralization.
Just a heads up
You may be right about that
Or any politicians in power in terms of self-custody, medium of exchange, privacy and freedom tech.
Trump is no savior of this, nor most politicians from what I can tell
People don’t understand…
The market isn’t in a “bubble”
Smart people are investing, not to invest in a company, but to preserve their wealth from fiat debasement.
Stocks aren’t going parabolic, or overvalued. The dollar is going down, down…down.
Bet on that, every time. Bitcoin is the winner, every time.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk
#Bitcoin is so simple in how it works and benefits those who engage with it that many “smart” people think it’s too simple, or too good to be true
It’s not. It really is that simple. You’re just used to jumping through hoops for everything else to benefit this broken, fractured, fiat banking system
I think the world will really start to wake up this next cycle. And thank god, because people will see that it doesn’t have to be this way—the way the world has been going…we’re ushering in a new era, for the people. You CAN thrive, you CAN prosper, with Bitcoin.
Three things I wish the world would understand about Bitcoin
1) scaling solutions like lightning that actually make it good for payments
2) the why of the blocksize wars and the WHO has the power in bitcoin
3) multi-sig
#MoneyElectric didn’t clear that up, that’s for sure!
Pros of the doc in all seriousness - makes a good case for bitcoin as money separate from the state and against CBDCs and the dangers of surveillance and lack of privacy/freedom in the digital age. That’s something at least.
I am 2 minutes into this satoshi doc and the creator/voiceover says
“And that’s because Satoshi controlled a shit ton of bitcoin…enough to break the system”
“What would happen if he reemerged to cash in”
Cash in…CASH IN???? lol
Controlled???? Break?!
Guys. How’d you do it. Ok, I’ll press play again and keep going.
Ok most of it isn’t like AWFUL, some good nuggets in here about how bitcoin works for normies.
Wish he said how the blocksize war was won and WHO has control in bitcoin, but….yeah I’ll stop 😂
It’s arguing that it’s more “affordable” in the percentage of a workers wages today v then, as in budget wise it’s easier.
But that’s also just not true for a majority of folks (including myself btw)
BREAKING🚨 any hopes of a future slowdown in spending or debt accumulation 🙃
“Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald J. Trump are proposing policies that, if enacted, would cost trillions of additional dollars over the next decade.”
Got hard money? #Bitcoin
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/08/us/politics/us-budget-deficit-2024.html
I think #nostr should be a place to have debate, real shit, hard questions and realities.
Pv and gm, yes, but also things like politics, religion, what are your fears, what are the gray areas in your life and mind?
I think sometimes Bitcoiners go too far in the “well everything is shit and they’re all the same,” with politics, the world, leaders, etc or only hopium, we’re winning no matter what, etc.
It’s not that easy. I know there are a lot of truth seekers here, let’s get to it!
Trump is a friend of Putin
Trump supports basically thrusting the U.S. into war against Iran…WW3 (pulls in China too over oil)
My fellow anti-war Bitcoiners, how can you support Trump?
Fair practical point, I’m just going off his obsession with Bibi and statements on this current conflict
Biden admin have massively failed the past year on this imo. I fear Trump could make it even worse though
If you’re investing, please be careful with Bitcoin miners! It may seem simple on the surface, but far from it. The cost/game is brutal, acquisitions always looming, AI play (but with what partnerships), potential shitcoining, in over their heads, and more!
Get to know the company, board and leadership really really well or don’t invest.
Much better to just stack sats, or look into a business with a bitcoin treasury strategy (imo it’s less risky, but still super risky).
For the vast majority, stacking sats is the way. If you want to support or get skin in the game with bitcoin companies you believe in and can spend a lot of time getting to know, then invest.
I’m super excited for the next chapter of @TPBPod with Margot at the helm. It will be a return to “progressivism” of old focused on activism, human rights, and a rejection of the current political tribalism and two party war machine that exists today.
Everything Margot talks about and embodies, from occupy to left-anarchism and beyond. It’s exactly what’s needed! Support and encourage her ✨ nostr:note1n5gn7c8ckxy0zasz0mas7hcelsmkrms2ehp7e9h5ww4fg4vnvenqprs0a9
Confession of a bitcoiner: I’ve never read the sovereign individual, until now.
Well, I started reading it. And beyond whether I agree or disagree with some of their beliefs/thesis, it brings up a bigger concern for me:
They’re getting a lot wrong, and failing to see the power and might of the U.S. and global coordinated effort that I think they believed would be well on its way to crumbling at this point?
This is my fear with many Bitcoiners as well — you live in a libertarian utopia, assuming others will join, when the fact of the matter is the U.S., the dollar, military global industrial complex, coordinated big tech, etc, is stronger than ever.
The hopium can’t block out the reality of the forces that plague humankind for the next century—it’s going to be a tough battle. The “sovereign individual” doesn’t automatically win…far from it. It has a higher chance of losing, unless we all do something about it. (I prefer sovereign communities, but maybe that’s the leftie in me 😉)
But I’m hopeful justice, peace, and freedom will win! We must be realistic about what we’re up against though.
