Confession of a bitcoiner: I’ve never read the sovereign individual, until now.
Well, I started reading it. And beyond whether I agree or disagree with some of their beliefs/thesis, it brings up a bigger concern for me:
They’re getting a lot wrong, and failing to see the power and might of the U.S. and global coordinated effort that I think they believed would be well on its way to crumbling at this point?
This is my fear with many Bitcoiners as well — you live in a libertarian utopia, assuming others will join, when the fact of the matter is the U.S., the dollar, military global industrial complex, coordinated big tech, etc, is stronger than ever.
The hopium can’t block out the reality of the forces that plague humankind for the next century—it’s going to be a tough battle. The “sovereign individual” doesn’t automatically win…far from it. It has a higher chance of losing, unless we all do something about it. (I prefer sovereign communities, but maybe that’s the leftie in me 😉)
But I’m hopeful justice, peace, and freedom will win! We must be realistic about what we’re up against though.
I love quick mutual aid groups.
What I love also working for a similar type org, but focused on legal aid, is that we operate similarly. We respond immediately to legal needs.
Anyway, nonprofits with diverse revenue streams literally keep Americans running and safe. nostr:note18nmcmj6xjxw8qq9yr2lgm2gvvqqwuwt8n5t8nrksguztd7zgfevste4d7g
What’s up #nostr
I need more accounts to follow. My feed is looking like github on here recently 😂
I really feel like nostr could thrive as a place to find those with similar interests, communities, etc. But the tools still feel incredibly lacking there 😔
Perception is reality
And when more and more people have their world shaped and sculpted online, particularly by bad actors…
Things get…interesting.
And no, I’m not saying censorship is the answer. Critical thinking and research is. But we’re impatient to do that. Particularly if it goes against you/your tribe’s narrative.
And far too many Bitcoiners are abso-fucking-lutely falling into this trap as well rn.
Huh? It’s literally in the italicized section at the top of the article and the photo I uploaded…clearly it was a part of the interview and not hard to believe as well.
I am confident Bitcoin will be just fine under either current presidential nominee
I am also fairly confident shitcoins and scams will be given more free reign under a Trump administration.
I don’t need a “savior,” which Trump is far from anyway. And Bitcoin surely doesn’t need a king or savior.
I think one of the greatest athletes and coaches of all time are active and on the same team right now.
Jaylen Brown and Joe Mazzulla from the Boston Celtics 🏀☘️
Intense, tenacious, wise beyond their years, deep.
If you like studying coaches and athletes, don’t skip over these two.
Bitcoin will not end wars
People, political change and resistance end wars
If you want to end wars, you have to get involved with your political system (or fight against it), and stack sats.
This is a really good TL;DR for those of us in the United States, now inextricably linked to this conflict because of the U.S. gov’t’s blank check (both economically and financially) stance towards Netanyahu’s Israeli government.
The massive civilian casualties are a new dark period in the Middle East, as this conflict rages on. I fear Trump would only make this worse, but the Biden/Harris admin has also failed dramatically on this front.

Fuck XRP and fuck Chris Larsen
Crypto tears being cried over an SEC appeal.
Try to legitimize your insider scams all you want. It’s still a scam and not worthy of existing.
I didn’t fully realize how important this show and movement was to people until I stepped down. And I needed to, for sure.
However, I’m absolutely thrilled that my friend @jyn_urso will be carrying the torch for now, and excited to see how she’ll bring her own passion and thoughts to this endeavor.
Myself and the TPB team will continue to support behind the scenes. LFG 🔥 nostr:note1h89n8c3wnevx68kstmg6tfxaq9fg5kl5u0lnddphp9szzjvtw0tqf53x40
In the future, that even technologically could be here now, humans do not need to work 40hrs per week, and many of these port worker jobs do not need to be human operated.
The union quite simply isn’t open to non-human run roles, but this isn’t realistic.
So, what do we do with that? How does society handle this, particularly for those in these rolls and without savings or investments options that allow them to simply not work.

Fucking grifter
He will also KYC the fuck outta your Bitcoin and maybe not be so crazy about privacy tools and devs, if he doesn’t like them… https://i.nostr.build/7H2a0IRV6ATC07xI.jpg
It’s really cute local and state politicians passing bills to allow for bitcoin to be used for payment of taxes and state bills.
But then those payments would also be TAXED lmfao what a joke. So giving them your bitcoin, AND paying taxes on it.
No sleep till no taxes on bitcoin payments.

Shill me your favorite coffee carafe please. I need one that can keep my coffee HOT for a long time and looks good too. This is actually quite the challenge!
I use a chemex pour over

Can I just be an investigative journalist for the fuckery that is going to happen this next bull cycle? Maybe I’ll do that now that I’m done hosting the pod.
@FrankCorva@Susie teach me your ways 😂
Not for the next little while at least…
Rebrand to rebooting money is for a nonprofit and publication/media idea while includes pod (and ideally umbrella of multiple pods)
If I had a studio and didn’t need my full time nonprofit gig, continuing to do a pod now would be an easier idea!
I’m sure it will hit me at some point how much I miss it…but for now I’m going to take a break
Yo Rapha Zagury was cut throat! (CIO…or former CIO, of Swan). He was doing quite a lot of media appearances this year as well if you noticed… #Swan #Tether https://i.nostr.build/IC9i91Oa9vqubGSd.jpg
Good reminder, what’s so cool about Bitcoin is you don’t have to trust any company!
You can self-custody today 🙃
Or trust is limited: buy and withdraw immediately. Get a good open source and secure cold storage wallet.
They need our business. We don’t need them. Get it?
Mfers sniffing out this Swan sitch today
This is some serious company turmoil
Layoffs, public listing plans canceled, certain mining services canceled, this turmoil, tether as part owner
Oh man. https://i.nostr.build/SFZQN1JbOwyCFGWa.jpg
Everyone focusing on the presidential election when it comes to Bitcoin.
Ok, but that’s a distraction.
The thing to watch is crypto legislation, most likely next year, and what it proposes around custody, privacy, mining, and software development. That is the battle to watch and worth fighting for. And what things they try to sneak in that give control to three letter agencies in the name of national security.
Am I just making this up…
I feel like I heard somewhere that the Bitcoin ETF’s purchase their coins typically at EOD, between 3-5pmEST, from the day’s inflows (or sell for excessive outflows)
Am I right there? Almost built in assumption of a little post-market close pump
Y’all ever get those random texts or calls from former college acquaintances and then they be like “it’s been so long! Hope you’re doing well! so, I’m reaching out because I’m helping people with their investments and retirement strategies”
lolololol
IYKYK 😏

@Alby hub, cloud and this mobile wallet is the trifecta I’ve been waiting for in an L2 spending app/wallet. I’m gladly paying the monthly subscription for this top notch service https://i.nostr.build/Io3Y7c5KLrOIPdva.jpg
We’re moving from the age of Bitcoin specific media/content to Bitcoin is a part of the fabric of society and everything.
There are no more “internet” podcasts
We’ve begun the cycle into the next epoch of adoption. Exciting (and scary) times!
The progressive movement is dead. Long Live The Progressive Bitcoiner!
I’m excited for a break, and to be able to explore and stretch my intellectual curiosity further in the future—beyond a political/identity politics angle or framework
Bitcoin is for everyone. Bitcoiners can unite around our fight against authoritarians and for a better, more just and fair world. Onward! nostr:note1r5ucdpxg5hxz9x9805gavem5uvnwjw02nxcf2mrhuhcxcd7xty4s2880f5

I’ve been really disappointed in bitcoiners from both the right and left and how low our bar seems to be for politicians. There is no “Bitcoin candidate” rn. Trump is a narcissistic shitcoiner/scammer, and Harris is giving the vaguest awful chat gpt lumping in digital assets with AI
They both would be excited to boost the imperial might of the U.S., even if they say it in different ways and crush whatever they view as decent.
What’s happening is your worldview and ideology is painting a rosy picture of your preferred candidate’s stance on bitcoin, mixed with NGU.
Bitcoin is for the people. And at some point there will be calls for greater resistance, as those in power and authoritarians are still to come for rights and protections we hold dear.
