Took the time to set up my @Foundation Passport as a 2/3 with @c301f133 today. Reality was only 30 minutes and seemless integration with the Tapsigner.
Don't really see any glaring downside for using this setup as an everyday on-the-go spending wallet, keeping the Passport at home as the back up third key. Elegant enough for small amounts in your pocket, hardened enough for larger transactions if needed.
Just need to backup the priv key from the Tapsigner in case of total loss and i'm good to go.
@ODELL how can I point my Bitaxe payment address to @OpenSats static address? My contributions usually go through voltage and always give me a timer. I'm assuming that address gets re-allocated or could I generate an invoice and use this long term without fear of creating a re-use?
Full common saying is "time is the only currency we spend without knowing our balance so spend it wisely". Carl Sandburg.
The original quote by Sandburg is: "Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you."
Time, only thing more scarce than #bitcoin
Fix broken money one penny at a time.
Local antiques dealer gives us a roll of old pennies. I polish, my nine year old son stamps. Antique dealer then sells them for £10 each. Gives son 50% who then buys bitcoin off me with the profit.
Son now has £100 worth of #bitcoin and they seem to be selling each week. Not quite circular economy but we're getting there. https://image.nostr.build/c73602fac8cd2ecc74ce886e7ca684cf1e71e6d4d6f95002becc1968ed6c057f.jpg
I believe the data only is the way to go although I have no need for a number to register services as where I live, so cards are so cheap and come with a small bit of credit you can use them to register an app, throw it away and repeat.
Maybe there are better ways to do this?
Losing control is where the learning is. Giving in to a higher power in a safe setting with friends. As McKenna said, that is where the rubber hits the road.
Psilocybin mushrooms are more than just a means of experiencing altered states of consciousness. They played a crucial role in human evolution and consciousness expansion. Look up the “Stoned Ape Theory,” which suggests that the consumption of psilocybin mushrooms by early hominids could have been a factor in the rapid development of human cognitive abilities.
You'll get a lot more from #psychedelics by taking a hero dose less frequently. The whole microdosing phenomenon has robbed ten of thousands of people of a truly life changing experience.
To me, shrooms represent transformative and practical experiences individuals have when they actually consume psilocybin and engage with the insights and challenges that arise from those experiences.
Same for #lsd and especially #dmt
nostr is annoying as fuck but i'm persevering. It feels like bitcoin in 2013. All the moving parts are there but just in built in a really inefficient way. I have next to zero dev skills so I shouldn't complain too much. It's free, open, permissionless and I believe has a real shot at the king but as you said, might just become one big Maxipad circle jerk.
Even just sending some zaps is fraught with irritation. Zapped some older posts of UM but unable to know if they went through.
Rural Thailand on a four hour drive in a taxi with my bowels opening up every hour dealing with a Kratom chewing psychopath driver. Not so much humbled but more like PTSD.
Yes they can. They just apply the full pressure of the law and 99.9% of bitcoiners will roll over.
Professional criminals targeting public facing bitcoiners are just as effective using alternative methods. Anything can and will be taken from anyone.
Unfortunately I've seen violence up close for a long of time and you'd be surprised just have many people fold even through just the threat of violence. Can't change the sympathathic nervous system. Our will to survive is instinctive.
Without Samourai then I'd agree. Luckily we have #monero.
Silent Payments look promising but I don't know enough about them. @Seth For Privacy doing good work via silentpayments.xyz
Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master.
Can #nostr set us free?
#Bitcoin looking and feeling very cucked recently.
Splitting time with #monero seems like a prudent measure as they are both (literally) offensive and defensive freedom technologies.
Great rip. Well considered and a step up from previous shows for reasons I can't put my finger on.
Max needs to consider making #nostr his home. He's got a great voice and now he's gone off the Maxi reservation for good by spending bitcoin investing on himself and not just dogmatically hodling.
his biggest promoters could be found here.
Lord no, this was way before they even termed it dubstep.
This was the equivalent of when Mickey Finn played my school disco (true story) back before they even called it Jungle.
Last of the UK rave vibes before it all went to shit.
Expensive enough to have a great movement. Cheap enough to EDC and not get upset too much if it takes a hammering. Perfect.
I had a Patek for a long time but it was giving me dirty fiat vibes so swapped it for Corn and picked up a Tudor and never looked back ✊
Change is constant.
#nostr is the most exciting tech since #bitcoin and actually makes a use case for LN. Zaps are the perfect appreciation tool for a bitcoiner.

Many thanks. Loving @BitcoinReview btw, one of only a small handful of pods I listen to these days but listening to it via fountain today was a sweet experience. 🧡🟧
Fucking around with @fountain_app again after migrating to another app due to phone overheating.
So impressed. UX feels like home. nostr connected, wallet seamless.
Huge shout out to the team there ⚡️⚡️
I'm torn on this. While I totally agree with you and my VPN is pointing in their direction, there is a small part of me that much like bitcoin, wants to speed this period of civilisation so we can all get to the 12 round slugfest where people are forced to take action: Bitcoin, nostr, Monero.
Forget touching the stove, NPCs won't get off the couch unless the house is on fire.
And MLynch is the most major share holder of BlackRock.
Bank of America is the most major share owner of MLynch.
BHath is the main share holder of BoA.
Buffet owns BHath.
zk-shark, following on from helping to bring thousands of full archival bitcoin nodes online through the OMB and wider ordinals community, is now poised to do the same for the pleb miner movement.
How are the censorship filterooor mafia going to handle this conflict of interest? For the average ordinal hater, having a strongAF ordinal community not only manufacture and distribute bitaxe boards but influence thousands of others to start hashing is an awkward proposal.
zK is building a decentralised community that over time will be antfragile enough to operate without him and we're already seeing smaller organic shoots forming on top of the OMB substrate. Until that point zk is still leading the charge.
Read: "While its still the early innings, I believe we are already the largest manufacturer, have the largest manufacturing capability, and hold the largest inventory by far of these devices."

I really feel like the next 2 years are going to be more groundbreaking that the last two for OMB.
A lot of people have been burned by single founders in "NFT" projects and people love to talk smack about zk but he's that quiet achiever who just gets the job done. Plus he's one of the only founders who really tries to live the code of bitcoin.
Under promise and over deliver. I feel that sums to OMB nicely. A lot of VCs are totally against that approach and that's why so many of them fail. They literally fail fast intentionally while zk just steers a course and moves towards everyday until he gets to the next destination for his community and holders.
My observations (I came to the OMB part late, Sept 23) is that OMB has the strongest ordinal community by far. Not the loudest and I like that. No point screaming the wrong words or the right words at the wrong people. Happy to be a small part of this culture shift.
Can't wait to see what the OMB community can do with fleets of lottery miners but imagine if an OMB hit a block... that's a wild prospect and one that would set the ordinals ecosystem on fire.
Good times ahead.
Off for early morning row here in SW UK. Everyone saying the UK is shit but it's pretty incredible where I live.
There are pockets of paradise in all countries. You just got to look harder and not tune in to the same old narrative.
https://m.primal.net/KWgZ.jpg
Likewise if you're ever SW then hmu and we'll make you welcome! Surf is good, heaps of wild camping and we have some decent locally sourced meat and produce.
Lots of deadeyes though. Good people at heart but but for many of them bitcoin is the enemy. It's thankless work trying to rewire the NPCs when cost of living is a daily struggle for most. It's all that consumes the conversation other than the weather.
Lots of 🪵 here too
@jack trying to find the artist you onboarded to NOSTR that mentioned when talking to @ODELL last week.
You mentioned he's on your recent notes but unable to locate. Please can you tag?
How's wifey's coworker doing? Checked in recently?
I did have a mate who I orange pilled in 2017 and he ploughed over 3BTC in to Dragonchain ico. Poor bastard went off reservation after round tripping that one to the moon and doom.
Great bloke though.
Liked a lot of your shows, hated a lot of your shows. Regardless you've turned a lot of people on to bitcoin so good luck with your new endeavours. Personally it would of been great to see you slide in to What Monero Did instead but it's not my rodeo.
Looking forward to seeing Real Bedford play next month.
Peace.
That's what I don't get. Great that they've ported signal encryption over to nostr for DMs. Don't see why e-cash needs to be integrated, other than a potential revenue model later down the line. Anti-spam maybe.
