That's a little short sighted view but one thing is true, Ordinals are securing the chain and will provide the majority of the security budget once the halving arrives so you better cross your fingers, toes and nutsack they succeed.
The majority of ordinal inscribers who have been around since May are Sparrow power users and know their way around a PSBT better than most WoS maxis.
#bitcoin.
Still not convinced on this little #bitcoin pumpy. Feels like the euphoria is just being breaking even. Wouldn't be a bad thing to dump hard and give people a dose of reality before we grind up to new ATHs in 2024.
Monero being my stablecoin as usual.
Art is totally subjective. That's what makes it art.
The movie is different this time. This one features node count going up, maxis committing suicide, usual traders getting rekt, ETHbois making the leap to The God Chain, security budget going parabolic, Odell winning his bet with Marty and some collectors amassing generational wealth.
I don't really see any downside to Ordinals. Anyone distracted by them wouldn't be in Bitcoin for the long term anyway but through this new breed of degens on bitcoin we all get to reap the above rewards.
#bitcoin.
Many hardcore maxis in 2023 were the ICO degens of 2016. It's all part of the Stove Touching Theory.
Slight disagreement with your theory. Everyone needs to touch the stove minimum of twice.
Had to mute Udi and Eric as they are both annoying as fuck but to their credit they've onboarded so many people to bitcoin and will continue to in this cycle. Will they all stick around though?
Some of the discords I'm you are met with a wall of posts about how to run a full node. I've lost count of the people I've pushed to K3tan, RoninDojo and Umbrel.
People come for the "art" but many will be here for the revolution once they work out that stacking sats is the only art they need.
Plus, as a precious ICO degen myself, having that experience as a huge advantage. It really is the wild west all over again and the gains have been worth it so far. I'm sure many maxis will say I'll get rekt in the long run but for many I know, all profits just keep on going back to cold storage. There's a lot more well considered degens on there than people think.
How the hell does Zach not know how many words are in the bip39 word list?
"about 1000, over 1000".
Ouch. Not a good look for the owner of a hardware wallet company who has chosen to go on a podcast (Chris Blec) about hardware wallet tech.
This is criticism and not an attack on Foundation Devices.
#bitcoin
I don't think anyone expected Ordinals to be 57% of transactions over the last 24hours making them bitcoin's number one use case. Annoying fact but at least mempools will never clear again 🤟
Hit it up for a second spin.
Realised there's always more to discover; it's akin to a Rubik's cube. Revisiting it unveils levels I had previously overlooked. My inability to fully grasp it the first time stems from an overload of podcasts. Cutting it back to BBB and RHR for the win.
The discussion on zombie-ism particularly resonated with me. It's challenging to view this topic positively, knowing that in most zombie stories, the odds are overwhelmingly against you, with allies flipping' on you and turning into adversaries quick as sticks. Overall a fascinating thought experiment unfolding in real-time.
Eager to hear Ben tackle the "Atlas Shrugged" series since I've found that book challenging. Big up to Max, @BenGunn, Q&A, and Rabbit – UK's standin' up tall in the fight for freedom.
Ben Gunn and Max. Hands down.
Nothing that new in terms of topic but the energy and passion provides a really good way to focus your lens and provides confirmation that "we're doing it right".
Think I've shared that episode with about ten mates IRL and pleaded with them to give it a go.
I think reality is that life is a lot more boring that people want to believe. No CIA conspiracy here, just a businessman looking to leverage everything he can from his investments.
Saylor holds a lot of bitcoin, doesn't do shit for the community. Best off not feeding in to the Saylor story...
which makes me a hypocrite I know.
I think the real shit-go is the endless capital generation from selling shares to fund his bitcoin bags. The antithesis of bitcoin. He's on rinse and repeat until his tower of Babel comes tumbling down and sends us all to goblin town for three years. 😂
Everyone buys bitcoin at the price they deserve right? That classic is scorched in to my memory and my family are sick of me saying it whenever they ask about the price and if it's a good time to buy bitcoin.
I'm relentless in my repetition of these words though. Unapologetic.
True words.
It's about creating a solid foundation where skills and resources are continuously developed. The emphasis on personal growth and skill enhancement is key – it not only prepares all of us for the challenges ahead but also contributes to the overall fortitude of the community (@`ODELL`... meshtadels?)
And yes, stacking relentlessly underscores the commitment to Bitcoin and its principles, reinforcing the network and solidifying our stance.
They'll not take me back to the fiat mines without a fight.
NVK has form form for repeated "linux is a shitcoin" and openly a macbook whore. Hates CalyxOS and Graphine and is constantly shitting on people who use them with posts such as the above touting "well you're all fucked anyway, might as well stick within the Walled Apple Garden".

If you like the #bitcoin network secure then by grateful for inscriptions and the ordinal lens. As a pleb miner I embrace blockchain scarcity.
Bring on Runes.
ps, If I want to send value to someone fast, I refer to Monero whenever possible.
And how's the security budget looking under your future low blockspace demand? I'd say not very healthy at all. Bring on sustained high fee environments, bring on a need for L2 innovations as a result.
Hmmm. I think we're saying the same thing?
) Runes brings all the miscreants home to The God Chain.
2) Blockspace becomes more scarce as a result.
3) Miner win, plebs win.
4) People HAVE to use LN which is fair to say most don't have a need at present.
Maybe aim that comment at the known iphone lover NVK. I'm fully FOSS (as much as can be) across all machines. Apart from living in a cave, there isn't much more I can do to keep my head beneath the parapet so i'll keep chillin. Yes this can be seen as in contrast to "the price of freedom is constant vigilance" and while my eyes are fully wide open I try not to let the fear grip me on the daily. That's exactly what the old power structures want.
Signal isn't broke. Much more likely his phone was hacked or the otjer person on the line was weak. But yes, if the devil is on on your tail then there is practically no way to shake them.
Fortunately they don't give a shit about 99% of us as not everyone is planning on having a coffee with Putin next week so every needs to relax a little.
I don't think you've been singled out. The algo just make a call that day. Heaps of other people have been getting banned from random trivial stuff unrelated to bitcoin. You could of posted those words on any other day and it may have slipped the net.
That being said, it still sucks and I feel for you. You've assisted me on many occasions and helped me on my journey over the last few years. I'm always grateful. If you don't get it reversed then I really hope nostr blows up and you get to reach many more people.
if you're ever shipping to the UK then lmk. Only too happy to help to financially assist Ministry of Nodes and at the same time add another nodebox to the grid here in England.
All the best!
Waiting on Casey's Rune protocol to slap the maxis in the face once again which will in turn leak social capital to Udi meaning we'll have to endure months of bullshit conversations alongside Drivechains twatterings.
Coldcard. Maybe a steeper learning curve than others. When used in conjunction with Sparrow on desktop there really isn't a compelling reason to use any other combination.
If on a budget then just use tailsOS, install Sparrow. While tailsOS is technically not a hardware wallet, it has been battle tested for years with electrum and gets the job done. AND it's free.
44 as it's my lucky number.
I also feel that it's not the value of the sats but the act itself. It's akin to a "like" or a thumbs up, a simple gesture to show appreciation. If I feel that the person is deserving of something more in a monetary sense then sure I'll manually bump it up to 1k.
40lb GoRuck had me struggling yesterday evening for this 7km uphill hike. Got to the top of this particular Dartmoor Tor and the views were worth it.
Couldn't care for telemetry, steps counted or any other measures of success. Just sweated and breathed heavy for a long time in the fresh air. Good times #nostr.

Coldcard haters in disbelief. They attack the Q1 for looking like BlackBerry but for me that's just a bonus. I had zero reasons to jump to M4s from my fleet of M3s but I per-orderd a few of the Q1s as there are heaps of advantages for me and my set up.
"Scientific Calculators" on the customs declaration please.

I just couldn't resist this. Can't find the source of this on twatter/X
For all those #bitcoin "I don't care about KYC" guys and gals out there, it's only a matter of time before you have the boot on your neck. Maybe you have already but you just don't know it, or care about it?
You don't have to admit you're using #monero IRL
That's the point of it.
Just listened to the excellent samourai interview on Chris Blec Conversations discussing #bitcoin privacy or lack of.
Good to know Samourai Wallet is integrating tools this year enabling #monero swaps.
Lazer eyes will be in disbelief when it gets pushed live.
So bullish for bitcoin and monero in this regard.

Any Revolut users in the UK should switch to Xapo. Won't have any of those issues (at time of writing)
Same same but different KYC #bitcoin experience if that's your thing.
Messaged received many years ago but me and our motley band of psychonauts and still committed to having as much fun as possible hiking the Devon hills and camping under the stars eating #lsd and smoking #dmt.
What a wonderful world there is to explore outside of #bitcoin and #monero
Run for the hills, your node will still be on line tomorrow.

Thanks fiend. Wild swimming and a night time fire ceremony to keep out the machine elves or unwelcome entities.
Going to be a big one. GG got us covered on the sacred geometry.

#monero delisted from by yet another exchange in a "free democratic country". Price doesn't care.
Holding and using XMR never tasted so good.
It's a bit of an outlay and you need the space but it paid for itself after a couple of years especially as coffee (and restaurants) in the UK are among the worst in the world. I put this down to the Brits not feeling comfortable complaining in general.
