So with a few days of Massive #bitcoin gains but mempool is pretty calm with low fees. This looks more like supply side driven vs a Robinhood-style retail hysteria. My interpretation is that this is not a bubble and the trend will continue. Very exciting.

FYI bitcoind 28.0 is not compatible with LND - something to do with how it reports rpc warnings as an object instead of a string. Don’t update until LND 18.4 comes out #bitcoin #ligntning
Last night I fired up my #meshtastic RAK wisblock on a flight from PHX to STL for fun and found 156 nodes along the way. Even got a few messages to acknowledge from a plane. Pretty cool.

Heading into the Grand Canyon this morning with my wife. We have a couple #meshtastic radios for backup comms in case one of us wants to go further down.
Now that my kids are getting to areas of math that I’ve kinda forgotten about (factoring out the greatest common factor of a variable equation)… #ChatGPT has become a life savor in helping me remember so I can tutor them.

Initiating a phone call requires 5k sat HTLC (2 minute timeout) to the recipient of the call but isnt acknowledged by the recipient if a) the initiator is in the recipients contact list or b) the call duration exceeds the HTLC time to live. spam/robocallers/telemarketing defeated. somebody please build this. #bitcoin #lightning

I just started a skeptical friend down the #bitcoin path by setting him up with a #walletofsatoshi app and sending him 100k sats. Now I have to let him know that he’s got to change wallets and I’m sure he’s going to say “See… this is why it won’t work”. This is an unfortunate setback. :(

I think of my undergrad computer science degree and my 20 year career in cybersecurity and try to decide where to begin. Scrapers, bots, intellectual property, DDoS?
Decided that “Some people just really robots and don’t want them on their site” was a more fun answer.
