this is either gonna be my best grift yet or i’m onto something: i think i have an accurate model for heavy-lifting airships achieving freighting costs similar to cargo ships while being 4-5x faster, being able to fly over land and not needing port infrastructure
nah for cargo airships where you want to maximise your payload you’ll be operating at much lower altitudes where the atmosphere is still dense.
so i’d still be using EDFs and big ol control surfaces
yep hydrogen, i use PU for the hulls currently (moving to ripstop nylon with a PU coating).

you could steelman that some spammer with a GPU will have an order of magnitude better hashrate by cost/compute than could be achieved with normal consumer hardware, which negates the benefit of PoW. i still believe it’s worth it tho

i also think it would be interesting if paying a few sats per post meant getting a PoW provider to mine say 25 work bits for your note, and then you post it, then both are PoW based
