1 month verdict on the Instax Mini Evo
It’s a great concept, enjoyable and fun, but the quality is rather lacking as a camera.
Sensor is equivalent to something you’d have seen in early digital cameras 20 years ago. You’ll need to line up shots really well and don’t bother with moving subjects. Fuji should really have packed better gear into this thing for the size of it.
That said, the physical prints are really cool. We’ve taken it to parties, dinner with friends, our roadtrip, and I’ve used it around the house and the collection of images on there looks nothing like my phone camera roll. We’ve got both an album and some little stands displaying the best photos on a shelf.
And people really love when you hand them a little physical picture too - I can’t think of a better $1 gift in 2024 than a printed pic.
More time needed playing with filters and also trying edits from phone before I can give it a full review but so far I’d say it’s a nice toy that other people around you will enjoy as much as you, and you’ll find yourself taking photos of things with this that you likely otherwise wouldn’t with your phone or a DSLR. nostr:note136e8css9r8yxfd3680lm2wpm9zx8gz3mz83dnww3p23pq75wq9dqu0x2m6
The regime used to be excellent at propaganda, but they drank their own koolaid and started tasking DEI hires to run the most important function for the legitimacy of their operation and look where it’s got them.
The idea that we need to elect representatives to send to some far flung city to constantly create new laws is one of the most retarded things about the fiat world. https://i.nostr.build/ey2lNsXue7NXUEgA.jpg
I think we’ll see a shift in computing trends over the next 10 years. Computers have become so relatively affordable, and governments have become relatively tyrannical, it’s going to change how people interact with both.
This will start in the West and as the stack develops it will be adopted by the East later on.
Rather than running a phone and a laptop which seems to be roughly the default, people’s device counts will increase. Many more “nodes” will come online whether in ones own home or used amongst friends/family/small communities and these will become hubs both to keep prying eyes out of their shit, but likely a big driver will be piracy as people just won’t be able to afford all these subscriptions that are being foisted upon us by Wall Street led tech companies who demand recurring revenue for everything.
Privacy tooling on phones will never be perfect but more and more people will recognise the problem of over-zealous governments wanting to surveil everything and they’ll find ways to splinter their comms and decouple different online identities to make it more difficult to track activity.
Nostr will be the perfect protocol for this. Different identities, different networks/relays, keeping your meatspace KYCed identity away from your social media and your entertainment and your finances etc will become more prevalent.
It seems a bit cypherpunk today because many frogs are still in the simmering water but what we’ve seen in the UK is coming everywhere and people won’t forego the internet, rather they will adapt to stay ahead of the tyranny.

That education system we all complain about - that’s geared toward making you a specialist cog in a machine. More efficient than a generalist but fundamentally interchangeable.
The best people to work with always have cross domain experience and understand how multiple cogs work together. nostr:note1hg7n2wm2lmefccn3r29rpe9k7kw5l746d2aaevvxl986yqzcvprq5yva83
Incentives rule the world.
The nostr model where people give you money directly for content they like is infinitely better than aggregating and monetising attention.
Spent my lunch break traversing a new rabbithole 🕳️
Parasites are trying to enslave the human race through a collective hivemind, hence the massive freak out over Ivermectin as a treatment for Covid..
Will have to revisit after I get around to reading “Can you catch a cold?”. This PDF is wild 😂
https://files.catbox.moe/9rbtxh.pdfhttps://i.nostr.build/RXrsYjqSVDjPPdeV.jpg
I’ve noted before that I’ve never gone down the virus rabbithole and this seems like a step (or two) further but I do know it’s absolutely possible for parasites to control their hosts.
Thought the initial framing in that PDF was interesting - every other mammal is regularly treated for parasites, why not humans?
That’s been my assumption too. Was fascinating to see how hard the M5M went though, not to mention Reddit banning the tiny ivermectin sub and half the site going batshit for a week at that time. Maybe there’s more to it than meets the eye..
Doubtful. Turkey has banned insta but King Cantillionaire acceded to Erdogan’s demands before the election so they’re not banned there.
I think that’s the more likely template where it will be region by region, totalitarian by totalitarian.
And in “liberal democracies” they’re just going to require ID to access big tech social media which will have a major chilling effect.
The car appearing is in the original footage that Andreessen and Rogan are watching in studio, it’s not added by the TikTok edit.
If the footage is real, how did the camera stay not only standing at these elevated points but even steady, whilst the house gets blown away?
And why didn’t the radiation destroy the film?
Yeah that’s the political side of the deepstate, the Pelosi’s and McConnell’s who have been there forever and a day who would rather create their own crisis to get their way than deal with an organic crisis in which things might go a way which they can’t control.
They’ve figured out a way to capture the entire political process and they get so much juice out of it for them and their connected friends that they can’t risk any sort of scrutiny.
Makes sense why people were riled up to go absolutely batshit crazy over January 6th when viewed through this lens - it was the biggest parasites rallying people to their side so they could continue their plundering unabated.
BCashers like to claim moral superiority over Bitcoin Maxis, supposedly they’re all about freedom where stupid Maxis only care about NGU.
So.. where are all the BCashers on #nostr zapping on their base layer? https://i.nostr.build/7nYKe9LSmgXthyW4.gif
Sound on 🔊
A socialist made this to mock libertarians but it’s unintentionally based AF.
Zap ⚡️and repost 🔁 this video so I can rub it in the dirty socialists face 😂 https://v.nostr.build/kok1sL9CjEECH15B.mp4
“He's right, but the caption on the video is also correct, though not replying to his exact words.”
That’s what makes this so funny and unintentionally based.
I saw this edit posted by one of the libertarian accounts on Xitter who said we’re stealing the meme which I thought was perfect 👌
Back on #carnivore, 1 week into a 6 week tilt.
Not being as strict this time with meat only; mushrooms have been added, milk in my morning coffee is ok, and my missus makes yoghurt so I’ll be having a bit of that as she’s making a batch specially for me.
Much better supplied with dried and cured meats this time having learned last time to have snacks on hand. Talking about it with people last year I built up a good little trade network so I’ve got access to different jerky’s, biltong’s, salami and sausages - all stuff I’ve been swapping for my own jerky, biltong, olives and pickles.
That’s actually been the best part of this all for me, getting more into homemade foods and trading more stuff rather than buying. Might even try to grow some mushrooms having seen @phil
and @Brisket efforts too.
Any other Nostriches doing it in stints like this? nostr:note1fmdwzf79flac8uah3279zv5flxerkuh94w98ut26mln7gnjmjy4sdm0eja
There’s a cafe with a Bain-marie near my office where you can choose 1 main & 2 sides, they have roast lamb or beef, chicken dishes etc so I can get the meat but the staff look at me like I’ve got two heads when I tell them I don’t want any sides and just the meat 😂
That’s my fallback otherwise just have to bring lunch because otherwise “healthy food” options in the city tend to be geared towards vegetarians
I’ve posted about this before: nostr:note1h83kqrx75q6urlwspulktjcda4crcq9kmvts8yvyxjc4tvgltzzsq546k2
#Nostr isn’t going to be a global town square. How we see it and interact with it daily today isn’t how it will be in 3-5-10 years.
It is going to ‘fragment’ into communities. Think neighbourhoods, cities and regions. Sports clubs, special interest niches, hobbies.
The growth will come as Bitcoiners go out and rebuild services on nostr apps to replace fiat alternatives. You probably wont see a lot of the growth directly because it will be in pockets that you will likely have no interest in, but it will come and it will be glorious to rebuild the internet into 100,000 Lichtensteins that no Government or Agency or Parasite can quash.
Canada has the same problem as Australia - left-wing radicals occupying the third major party position in the liberal democracy which drags the Overton window into psychotic socialism.
Our Greens play that function here, and more recently the renewables lobby have funded “Teals” who are all champagne socialist Karens.
They are poisonous to discourse and show exactly why democracy is doomed to fail.
#Nostr devs have been rapidly developing ahead of Xitter’s curve but one thing Elon has done which I’ve not yet seen here is replacing the 🔫 emoji.
Can we have a full arsenal at our emoji disposal? https://i.nostr.build/k26to8KfHk0n6Qyl.jpg
Yes and #nostr is ahead of Xitter now on the #Bitcoin hashtag front.
But you don’t win by being 10% better, we win by being 100X better.
Let Elon have his one emoji, give Nostriches nukes and RPGs and AK47 emojis and whatever else the cypherpunk arsenal needs
Curtis Yarvin is a generally intelligent dude, one of his criticisms of Bitcoin is the lack of CEO.
He’s also the man behind Urbit which does have a CEO and whilst I like the idea, it hasn’t really gone anywhere.
Interesting dichotomy.
We don’t have that collective consciousness any more.
The 90s were dominated by central programming - movies from Hollywood to your video store, music from labels to your record store, magazines from the publishing houses to your news stands, newspapers/radio/TV from trusted state-approved sources ignoring the stories they didn’t want you to hear and amplifying messages they did.
It’s very easy to have ‘harmony’ when everyone is drinking the same koolaid.
We’re fragmented now and it’s never going to be put back together no matter how much the parasites demand control over online social spaces.
New leadership will be needed to find common threads amongst people in the fragmented online world.
They take half the output of your labour in taxes so you never have enough to build a capital base, and then debase whatever you do have leftover on a constant basis.
This system is beyond retarded.
Goldman Sachs has $500M in Bitcoin ETFs and Morgan Stanley has $187M too.
It’s definitely going to gain institutional adoption this cycle but I think we’re just too early for widespread MoE.
I disagree with you and do think it will come, likely via nostr and stablecoins - ie. it’s going to be used and people won’t know it’s Bitcoin under the hood.
That’s the sly roundabout way for it to grow. Not by nation states implementing it as legal tender, but by it finding organic usecases in its own sphere which is and always be online.
L2 in particular.
Lightning consumes BTC blockspace which is what will spin the flywheel for Bitcoin adoption in reserves as the financial system retools so I also disagree with you on that one; it is BTC, I don’t think it will do you any good to take a constrained view of what Bitcoin is with what it has ahead in its future.
I think many will try to use it as reserves for fiat and they will fail, not simultaneously nor soon, but in the long run Bitcoin is going to black hole the lot of it.
Time will tell for both of us. We’re talking spans of decades whilst thinking in terms of cycles and quarters and months and weeks so it’s easy to conflate things.
WSJ limited hangout regarding the sabotage of Nordstream pipeline.
Apparently Zelensky the cokehead comedian knew about it and endorsed the plan but told the saboteurs to pull the pin when the CIA found out and told him to stop it.
This is almost certainly not the real story or the whole truth. The United States made a fuckton of money exporting LNG to Europe after Nordstream was blown up and the CIA are a force for evil.
The story is just meant to help normies who were still blaming Russia cope with their cognitive dissonance.

We’re due a shakeup in the browser ecosystem but I recall reading there’s only 2 or 3 engines left now so Google’s stranglehold is probably going to stick for a while. Truly a shitty company
Welcome back! You might need some new relays after a year away, quite a few have died off in that time..
Not https://relay.nostr.com.au though!
18 months and it’s still going. One time entry fee of 6969 Sats
Closer doesn’t matter, we’re not sending financial txs where latency matters, we’re sending notes and other stuff.
The number of people connecting and posting to relays matters more and in the end, longevity matters too otherwise you have to come get new relays every few months if you’re not a regular user.
Anyway enjoy being back, it’s grown a LOT in the last year. Checkout nostr.net for a list of projects, there’s all sorts on there that you probably wouldn’t expect!
Oh no, a virus that is 95% spread by gay men having anal sex is a global emergency because some men in the Congo who are too poor to even own cars let alone fly anywhere have apparently seen more infections (despite zero evidence supporting this).
I don’t think they’re going to be able to pull off the #monkeypox psyop, only psychotic leftists will fall for it probably because they’re the vast majority of the anal sex having men any way. https://i.nostr.build/hVBzMfYfQ6hTLNvD.jpgnostr:note1jnmwpcdyvsutzdyd4u5fs4wyfnwtpmcxfwem38z00je5yg0cgk9qdrn6fs
