#DungeonsAndDragons seems super fun but every time I watch videos of people playing it, it seems super weird and nerdy. The idea of making an endless story with friends seems cool but I don’t think the mideval fantasy warrior setting is for me.
@realcaseyrollins ✝️ @alex@gleasonator.com There's plenty of other settings! But the feeling of weird nerdy awkwardness generally persists the first few sessions until you've adjusted no matter the setting or system. It's stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. Always a bit difficult, I'd say.
Well there’s also the fact that my dad thinks it opens a portal to demons so I’m not allowed to play it in the house 😂
@realcaseyrollins ✝️ Well, yeah, alright, okay. Yeah... that's a bit of pickle to be in!
One day imma make it out! 😂😂 It’s not a big deal to me tho tbh
@realcaseyrollins ✝️ @Alex Gleason I've played it (and other TTRPGs) on and off for over 30 years. There are lots of other themes and systems. We have a group that plays weekly over Zoom now. We switch off but I'm running a Star Wars game based on trying to create an alternative sequel trilogy using 5e rules. The culture is now very open source.
