 That shit is crazy!
I know right! this is evil to continue advocating for plant based diets
This is not a evidence of a nothing! This is a just video some made person saying something something. Proof is a not compare this with a that. Proof is a compare a 1000 this with a 1000 that. And a that that they a use what is a that? Is a time person stop a listen to a these good look persons with microphone in front of a camera. They sell you a buy?
 Keep eating plants then
Veganism is a setupid but is a more a setupid in a believe in a this and a say this is a proof of a something
sounds like an old school markov chain algorithm
 🤯
My wife is pregnant right now. She was on carnivore for a couple months before we conceived, but could not stand basically any meats in the first trimester. I'm advocating for it again.

I'm on ketovore (calorically carnivore, allowing for low- to no-calorie plant foods like herbs, spices, and seasonings) after being generally keto for years. My parents and sister are carnivore. My father-in-law is now carnivore. One sister-in-law is going carnivore on Monday.

It's a revolution!
Some people, mostly women, say they can’t stand red meat and get nauseous. But I think it’s just brainwashing. Do you eat fruits at all? And do you get organs? Those should be helpful for her.
As a woman who was pregnant, in my early pregnancy the smell and sight of meat along with other foods I ate before pregnancy made me throw up. I threw up because people were talking about eating pizza... I wasn't brainwashed by social media because I wasn't on it or watching the news. When I was almost to my due date, I craved rare steak and ate meat just fine. Pregnancy hormones do strange things to women's bodies and everybody is different. I'm not advocating eating vegan, I eat plenty of meat, but I am saying that pregnant women are strange creatures and should eat whatever food will stay in their body to grow a baby and mind over matter doesn't work in that situation.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was talking about women in general in that post, although it wasn’t exactly clear so I can understand why you assumed that. I was thinking about some girls that I know who are disgusted by red meat and need to eat it well done.

I asked if his wife ate fruit and other things like organs because I imagine she would crave some other foods that her body needs. Like if she craves sweets in the first trimester, her body might need more glucose for energy to prepare for the baby. So fruit would be a good healthy thing to eat. I definitely think those cravings are natural and they should be listened to as long as you’re satisfying them with natural foods.
Agreed, your body will tell you what it needs and you should definitely listen to it. It's so hard to feel the nuance in text, this is just one of the things that hits hard for me. I would think to myself how dumb my body was being while I was pregnant and mad at the same time that my husband was eating the things I wanted to eat 😂.
That’s funny that you couldn’t eat those things. My friend’s mom told me she couldn’t eat mangos when she was pregnant with one of her kids. It was only one kid that she had this issue with. The thought of mangos made her nauseous. She loved mangos before that pregnancy and ate it after. Her kid grew up hating mangos forever. It’s so weird lol each baby has its own preferences that impact your cravings too.
Yes, I ate all the beans and I have a bean loving kid. Pregnant ladies are weird in the best sort of way.
It’s beautiful actually. The baby signals to the mother what it needs. If the mother doesn’t listen, the baby begins to absorb nutrients from the mother’s body. Babies will absorb calcium from a mother’s bones if the mother isn’t properly nourished. Listen to your cravings responsibly of course. No alcohol or seed oils or junk 😅
 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Been carnivore for a couple plus years now and it's so interesting that when I initially began on strict carnivore I stated to have this visceral feeling of "Wow, I feel like I am super fertile right now".

As a biochemist I like the approach of Paul but would add some tubers for more carbs. I would avoid pure carnivore as low carb over a long period leads to physiological insulin resistance and suppresses the thyroid (which is why organs like brain and thyroid NEED to be eaten when going carnivore). Another issue would be too much iron and Neu5Gc when you eat mostly red meat.
You think tubers will help with digestion?

I’ve never heard someone say that low carb leads to insulin resistance. How does that work?
Yes, especially because of resistant starch.

To put it simple: with constant fat burning mode your body unlearns carbohydrate burning. That's why people after a long low carb diet say they dont feel well on carbs. It's your own fault. There are endless of studies for that effect. If you lived low carb for a longer time you need to add carbs slowly.
Interesting. So your body is always adapting to what is available. How do carbs influence hydration? I think that’s the tricky part for me because I’ve heard insulin spikes affect your electrolyte balance.
Glucose helps transport sodium and potassium molecules into cells.

Btw, a common misconception is carbs = insulin (and insulin = bad). Proteins are insulogenic too, often even with a higher insulin response. Whey for example is VERY insulinogenic but still promotes fat loss.
So how do you know how much carbs you should eat? Carbs like fruit don’t seem to have the same satiety signals as fat/protein.

And I know about protein causing insulin spikes too. They are smaller spikes but I still find it funny that the reasoning against carbs is based on insulin.
It's not that easy to answer as it comes down to genetics. Africans for example would need more carbs than northern europeans. However, at least 150-200g should be the minimum for everyone. A good start would be a 33:33:33 approach — one third carbs, one third protein, one third fat. From there you can individually test if your body prefers more fat or more carbs. (That is, however, when you dont have insulin resistance which tricks your body in prefering fat.)
What kind of signs would you look for? headaches, fatigue, diarrhea? What would you do in response to those?
