Thank you for sharing your experience. I was talking about women in general in that post, although it wasn’t exactly clear so I can understand why you assumed that. I was thinking about some girls that I know who are disgusted by red meat and need to eat it well done. I asked if his wife ate fruit and other things like organs because I imagine she would crave some other foods that her body needs. Like if she craves sweets in the first trimester, her body might need more glucose for energy to prepare for the baby. So fruit would be a good healthy thing to eat. I definitely think those cravings are natural and they should be listened to as long as you’re satisfying them with natural foods.
Agreed, your body will tell you what it needs and you should definitely listen to it. It's so hard to feel the nuance in text, this is just one of the things that hits hard for me. I would think to myself how dumb my body was being while I was pregnant and mad at the same time that my husband was eating the things I wanted to eat 😂.
That’s funny that you couldn’t eat those things. My friend’s mom told me she couldn’t eat mangos when she was pregnant with one of her kids. It was only one kid that she had this issue with. The thought of mangos made her nauseous. She loved mangos before that pregnancy and ate it after. Her kid grew up hating mangos forever. It’s so weird lol each baby has its own preferences that impact your cravings too.
Yes, I ate all the beans and I have a bean loving kid. Pregnant ladies are weird in the best sort of way.
It’s beautiful actually. The baby signals to the mother what it needs. If the mother doesn’t listen, the baby begins to absorb nutrients from the mother’s body. Babies will absorb calcium from a mother’s bones if the mother isn’t properly nourished. Listen to your cravings responsibly of course. No alcohol or seed oils or junk 😅
