I agree. I live in clothes-line country. Not sure if that’s an option for you as well. Bath towels feel like they’re more absorbent after hanging them outside. I’ve thought about getting a laundromat grade washer and dryer as well. Some of those seem to last forever.

I don’t know what your country is, but if you have laundromats, maybe look into where they get their gear. They still make those basic, tough-as-hell models, they just don’t market them to consumers anymore.
When I was younger I thought seeing clothes hanging on lines was associated with poor people in slums. But once I got older and didn't care what people thought of me, I took to hanging my clothes out to dry because it is cheaper. The clothes aren't as soft but they last longer.
