 Van Build Update:

Removed the steel gate, and storage rack. Lots of work, but the aluminum cleaner worked like gangbusters. Much better :)

 Nice!
Thx angela! So ready for a shower rn 🫂💜
 Massive difference.

Sounds like you're now going to cover it up?
Thank you! Such a big difference.

Some of the aluminum walls will likely still be exposed in the final build. I wanted to start from a clean base.

Next, I'm going to give it a little polish and oxidation protection before encasing it behind the insulation and walls.

I also plan to put up a wall where the gate was to separate the cabin from the living area. Might go with a sliding divider instead of a house door to keep it looking stealth from the outside.
Dark velvet curtains would look 🔥
Love dark velvet, but nostr:nprofile1qqsz9nr55u53zdecvenu7zj5z3hfu2ua5skjfft9t3lstqgrcy3n5uspzemhxue69uhkummnw3ex2mrfw3jhxtn0wfnj7g8xz56 would probably have a field day with them. Lol! I plan to make her an enclosed walkway near the ceiling that goes from the living area, wrapping around the upper part of the cab (near the ceiling), so she can safely accompany me while I'm driving.
 That's awesome!
 💜🚀
 Step van?
 Yes. It's a '97 GM P32 step van.
Is it leaky? Making me want to do another van build
 No. Nice!
Is that thing not a miner heating?
No. Definitely looking into it though.
Looks like a really fun project.

It is. Lots of stuff to learn that I admittedly know little about (motors, bodywork, electrical, solar, plumbing, carpentry etc.). I'm enjoying the process. The pursuit of freedom, living and working remotely outside the system is the motivating factor. Definitely feel like I will have leveled up as a human by the time I finish the build.
Bullish on leveling up as a human and pursuing freedom.
Great answer. Im all about self improvement and learning
