I connected @damus to my @Alby Hub as an isolated app. It has a 0 balance. Makes sense. How do I transfer sats into it? #AskNostr
Strike or cash app Pay invoice
I’d expect to be able to top it up from inside Alby hub, no?
No. Exchanges are needed to turn fiat into crypto Then you can transfer to you alby wallet
I’ve got funds in the Alby wallet. I just couldn’t find how to transfer sats from the main Alby wallet into the connected, isolated Damus wallet.

I’ve got funds in the Alby wallet. I just couldn’t find anything on how to get funds into the isolated Damus wallet.
You have a channel opened? You can set a budget for Damus, X amount of sats per month to spend. I don’t think you can split the funds towards specific apps connected.
Yep. Channel opened. Just trying to find the best way to connect apps.
In the App Store on the Hub it will display the different apps. Say you select Damus it will give you a NWC connection string to copy and paste, or the easier way is to reveal the QR and scan it from the Damus app under “Wallet”
It was pretty straight forward to set up starting from Damus, too. You’ve got to love how simple integrations can be with standard protocols.
I disconnected Damus and reconnected it with a budget. I’ll go with that for now.
If you want to use it as an isolated app if you can try to use the same connection in two places. One for Damus and one that allows you to receive sats. For example you could add the same isolated connection to your alby extension and also to damus. Then you could use the extension to generate an invoice and pay it. That would put a balance in the isolated connection so you can zap from damus.
