Cyberpunk spirit on Bitcoin community is long gone it's barely recognizable, but it still lives on Monero privacy advocate communities. https://image.nostr.build/29b21fdb168741052061ed893e0df163a69f9aba13815e6c2e2537c38ab84422.jpg

 Fucking delusional idiot

Monero has 0 chance.

The point is to establish a new money.

Good luck getting your mom to start using monero
Good luck to get your mom using lightning too haha what the fuck is this argument
It’s 1000% easier for the plebs to load a nice automated swap wallet for bitcoin

Monero is dead stop wasting your money
The data says otherwise monero is used way more than bitcoin which is dieng as payment option

 Eu prefiro pagar em Monero.
Yeah I forgot, to receive funds lightning you must have funds before. Your "swap" won't work on-demand until youre using a custodial solution.
Pleb grandmas don’t need their own channels, side chain swaps, ecash, fedimints all coming online this year and will be built for advanced users and grandmas alike.

Unlike monero where if you don’t understand it perfectly you can’t use it at all.

It’s very simple- if we want to beat the bankers, we have to take away their customers.

Your not going to do that with some anon-LARP token
Lightning maximum capacity is 5k Bitcoin in fact last time I saw was only 1k Btc, Imagine ecash the only mint audited I saw had 1k USD of liquidity.

This is the real larp Lightning is not taking customers of anyone.

 Have fun bro

Have fun
there are 11 rollups listed on l2beat.com that each have more money deposited into them than the lightning network. out of these only two of the rollups can really be considered non-custodial at this point in time, but those two have capacity equivalent to 209,240 BTC and 96,572 BTC respectively, compared to lightning's 5,207 BTC. and a huge chunk of the BTC on lightning is held inside custodial wallet providers. so lightning isn't just losing against monero in usage, particularly non-custodial usage, it is also losing against rollups.
Every day Monero is getting more ground.

I think it's because bitcoiners don't trade their sata for shitcoins
 Consider the following:
nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzqjh9zhk8t2k69qtrjlw6snxx8sk2rc4j006f79e6hk5hvjummc6mqqsg22yqkfnh4a808y5w9s3hequwm78dc3hk3pjmyq86n9cwlmqm89saz5stu
Huh. I had no idea Monero was that active. Pretty damn cool.

I would be fine with Monero being priced against a Bitcoin standard. Seems the core of BTC doesn't want payments on the L1 and scaling is a problem on L2's at the moment. Monero is an obvious choice in that case, since Bitcoin is taking the role of SoV.
Pretty much the only coin used to purchase gigs and things online nowadays.
Ah yes, ecash. It has the ruggable properties that Monero has been missing! 🥳

What perfect knowledge an user needs ?
Just get monero.com wallet.
Addresses are changing everytime you receive and you additionally can use Tor just by launching Orbot.
How easy is it to run a monero node and provide your own chain data?
I don't know where you became so confused along the way, but every custodial bitcoin scaling solution is banking. doesn't matter if it's a fedimint or a centralized sidechain stapled to a lightning dex. those are all custodial and they are banking. you are cheerleading for people to put bitcoins into a bank account where they can be stolen or frozen. grandma does in fact need her own channels, or it's not her money. you support banking.
'Unlike monero where if you don’t understand it perfectly you can’t use it at all.'

What's there to understand? Create a wallet, put xmr in wallet, use it as needed. Far simpler than all you listed. And built-in privacy. Its gets no simpler than that.
Its not about btc, its about the NGU and HFSP mind viruses. Btc is fine (lack of privacy aside), but the overwhelming attitude is shit.
I dont disagree with you. The lack of privacy is due to lack of education.

People who use the internet without proper tools will also use bitcoin without proper tools.

XMR is nice because it provides that out of the box.
But im not putting my retirement savings in it.
But I will use it when possible or when required.
It isn't just lack of education though. There is a prevailing attitude in the Bitcoin community that all money will return to one, and that fucking around with anything else is a waste of time and actively counterproductive.

Just, Bitcoin is inevitable.
If we all just stack and circle jerk each other. the institutions will come in and somehow everything will just work out.

Most younger Bitcoiners seem to feel this way and become angry when you challenge it. It's the curse of a little bit of knowledge.
