Meanwhile lightning and ecash https://image.nostr.build/93b075e6035ec30b25955ef26c7dbffbb1b9cd5ef60222cf1539255e5836b07f.jpg https://image.nostr.build/3b3a571a0a6178c5c993104213861c1d7ab1789467701bcff7651d70d180954a.jpg https://image.nostr.build/95e27daf5a57c5ac807d2461bc72283c409a03371002171749d292fa798595a1.jpg
there are 11 rollups listed on l2beat.com that each have more money deposited into them than the lightning network. out of these only two of the rollups can really be considered non-custodial at this point in time, but those two have capacity equivalent to 209,240 BTC and 96,572 BTC respectively, compared to lightning's 5,207 BTC. and a huge chunk of the BTC on lightning is held inside custodial wallet providers. so lightning isn't just losing against monero in usage, particularly non-custodial usage, it is also losing against rollups.
Every day Monero is getting more ground. https://image.nostr.build/635f3e6aa1382c84ed64504bbfe99c3391e844caf2626f2e24e9d10fe33af0a6.jpg
