Primal's native one is run by strike, I believe... it's been working well for me. It was the easiest option. I'm not fluent in all the nuances of wallets yet but for the amount of sats I'm playing with atm, this works just great. You can always change later :)

 Okay, so try coinos.io for a custodial wallet. It's a website, but you can install it as an app so it's on your home screen all the time. You can use that address with Nostr to at least receive zaps. You're avoiding the app store crap that way. 

Spend a minute looking at Robosats, also. That's a good way to buy some sats without KYC. If you can get cashapp, you can use it there.
