Important advice. Take it a step further and think about the people you surround yourself with on social media, podcasts, music, etc. It influences you more than you think.
Again, tho… Controlling for “integrity” is not something that’s possible on nostr quite yet. Can’t count on “follows” to get you there… cause you gonna follow “other” people also… (tap a wide range of “inputs”, maybe some of them will “pan out”) Nostr lists … maybe. But how to “share” your list of “my peeps” with others … and stuff. Nostr has no means for us to indicate “trusted”, in hopes of “surrounding” ourselves with their content.
Not yet. Nostr needs more people laser-focused on this problem, at many levels. How can we make this happen?

Since last time: @hodlbod has upgraded Corqcle considerably, including using WoT to sort Community Groups related content. That would be a cool topic to discuss, perhaps hear his thoughts on that? It’s only been out a few days, don’t know what feedback he’s gotten yet. I’d be curious to know if he has next steps planned for more WoT features yet or not. Also @Lez submitted the NIP-77 PR and he and I have each put in some work implementing it. I’ve released a wiki explorer which uses the WoT score to stratify content almost identically to the way Pablo does it on Wikifreedia. And my next step will be to experiment with a different method to calculate the score. Perhaps Lez could tell us about his project, get some feedback from us, tell us what it’s like at SEC?

No wonder I count my friends (mostly family) on both hands.
family are a bit different as you didn't choose them. But there are ways of surrounding yourself with integrity. The genesis block aka "first good friends" are the hardest to find but once you find them you can use the network effect to grow your network of integrity quickly. "Good people know good people" basically. So the next time you have a party and you invite those genesis friends: tell each one to bring along their top 1 or 2 friends... and see what happens... ;)
Been a crazy 4 years here in the US. I’ve several “friends” that I will never speak to again after how they acted during the tyranny. Thankful many of them stood strong. And thanks to BTC I’ve many new friends much more freedom oriented around the world. I can’t thank all of u techie bitcoiners enough for all you have done. For myself, my family, my friends I thank you so very much.
