@0e241662 I had seen them too and noticed the same it's also a bit of a bullshit story - if you invest some time in it you can pretty easily find out how taxes apply in other countries. Given laat potentially most overseas backers will be EU based, the time investment versus the happy backers payout is worth it even more
@99b9ed46 Quick math: only in my group that’s 4 unsold mats, and I’m not counting the add-ons
@0e241662 Ugh I don't want to know the number customs will reap there
@99b9ed46 @0e241662 it is kind of free to incorporate for the vat scheme. You can pay 10£ and be get it done automatically. That said, you need an accountant once you are incorporated, and I'd say it is easilly £1,000 per year. If you don't break 50k to 80k revenue a year, you better loose few tousands pounds in revenue rathen than incorporate than loose that in profit.
@99b9ed46 They replied this to me on FB (yep, I have that account because BB groups are there): “Sorry that it's a blocker for you, we'd love for shipping to be a simple and cheaper process too! If the project is a success we're hoping to visit the major tournaments as a trade stand so you might be able to get a pitch that way in the future.”
@0e241662 living in the Netherlands, I doubt anything he qualifies as 'major' will be held here. Sad times, RIP my idea. Batcomma on the other hand, it's not like I don't already own at least three pitches with my name and/or NAF number on with what yesyes said the whole vat scheme in the UK sounds crooked or at least fucked up AF - I've been a freelance author for 13 years and have done my VAT as they sing 'all by myself' without ever needing an accountant to safeguard myself from anything
@0e241662 and don't apologise for still owning a Facebook account because mine still survives purely because I do not want the connection my wife has with me online to be severed. It's a f****** garbage platform just like most owned by f****** billionaires but some ways it has it uses
