Three years ago today, @fiatjaf made the very first commit to begin working on the Nostr protocol. Since then, Nostr has grown into a thriving ecosystem of applications and communities, enabling people all over the world to communicate freely and without censorship.

GUI nostr publicly opened is really about 1+Year old
I'd say much earlier than that. Maybe two years? I joined Nostr around August 2022 and the UI experience was so bad I left and didn't check it out again until December.
