Been using my @daylightco DC-1 for two months or so.

To my surprise, I find myself using it heavily during the day over my other devices whereas I expected to mostly use it in the evening.

Extremely happy taking a chance on it. Very polished, especially for version 1 hardware

 Awesome!!
 Ew. Xitter.
 Very cool!

Do you have any idea how long this company will support the device with OS & security updates? Are they doing the monthly android security patches? Ty
There haven't been any security patch updates yet, but I imagine they're busy scaling on the hardware front right now. It's something I expected as wave 1 folks are essentially living on the edge as is with a brand new untested product. Once they have a bit of breathing room, I'm sure we'll see regular updates on the software side of things.

As far as how long they plan on supporting the DC-1, I have no idea but I'm sure @daylightco can shed some more light.
Favorite thing about the tablet? Also what would you liked to see improved for version2?
Apart from the screen, I would say my favorite thing would be the battery life. There's no battery anxiety at all and I can use it heavily over a period of days before I need to charge.
I forgot to answer the second question lol. For V2, I'd say slightly thinner bezels / lighter weight if there's no compromise with battery capacity. I'd also add a physical button on the left side to mirror the one on the right side that's currently acting as a back button.

Honestly I'd much rather have more customized software features including their own Android launcher. The Daylight OS fork is fine, but they're currently using Niagara as their launcher. I think if they were to create their own custom launcher for the hardware, it would allow them to do iterate faster than having to push features on the OS level.
I'm still waiting for some non paid reviews on youtube by the "eink experts" but then I'll most likely also get one ✌️
 I really love them.

I'm not sure I could go back to Google though.
