Animal welfare research organization, found that 84% of vegans are returned to eating meat. 😑

The study found that:

One-third of the participants returned to eating meat within three months.

The remaining 50% returned to eating meat within the first year.
And many people don’t care about the well-being of the animals they eat or get something from. I think this is just sad.
Context? I’m a hunter and care very deeply about animals.
Don’t get me wrong, I went regularly hunting with my parents! I grow up like this 🙌🏼
I talk about mass industry and that most people eat meat without being mindful and grateful. Today’s society got out of touch with the value of meat. At least many.
I wonder if this mass exploration will ever end, we have so many people on this planet to feed. This totally got out of balance.
 🎯
Whats it like to kill so young
I grow up like this. It was normal.
You should carry a lot of respect and be sure about your shot, the animal should not suffer. I wasn’t allowed to shoot obviously, but I helped carrying and slaughtering. And you spend a lot of time just observing nature.
My grandparents still slaughter their gooses and ducks. They put much work and love into them the whole year, it’s not easy to end a life, but they do it, when they were young, they had to do it, they grow up like this.

Today? I couldn’t do this anymore.

Maybe @skymind wants say something?
This I like. I have a ritual where every animal I shoot I thank it for putting food on the table. I hate talking to people who are against hunting but pro-mass meat industry.
 🙏🏼
Industrial animal farming is one of the worst crimes we commit; it is very inhumane and immoral.
I like my cows came in before cooked
You are what you eat.....and if it's a piece of tofu...then so you are.
all it takes a will to not do something
what animal was studies, what was the sample size?

reference?
There are multiple studies, this one had 11,000 participants.
I lasted about 20 years… soy is bad.
 Wow, impressive
Every attempt at veganism I have borne witness to starts with making claims about how Unnatural, Unhealthy, and Unethical eating meat is. And then, as you point out here, eventually end with the same person within three years coming to the conclusion of the exact opposite opinions. Everything in moderation folks.
We really need a substantive discussion to establish basic moral standards for reducing animal suffering in the farming industry.

Unfortunately, the issue has been hijacked by clowns, reminiscent of what happened with climate change.

Personally, I think we can do better, and collectively, we should strive to minimize suffering.
I think the criticism placed on industrial meat production has legitimate substance. When humans aren’t interacting at a human scale with anything, land, creature, animal or human, they don’t behave…humanely. Given that a humans ethical wetware is based on direct interaction the distance from production to consumption creates problems.
@Alex Gleason we need your opinions here, Alex 👀
