There is no legitimate authority on earth. Any human authority over others is- or becomes corrupted. The Lie that mob-rule democracy is a good solution was disproven at the beggining of Western thought- by Plato in The Republic. The founders of the United States had a good attempt at a Republic, but as John Adams said: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Plato's solution for a Republic included a class of people bred through eugenics who gave up their property rights to become the "Guardians" or "Philosopher Kings" of the Republic. Barring that, the only way to have peace is pure voluntarism aka Anarchy. If we cannot have it, then humanity would do better with small terrorities under modern types of Monarchy. See Suadi Arabia and Luxembourg for examples. Vs Mob-rule aka "democracy" -it is better to know who the king is and to have them stake their bloodline on their responsibility.

@nincym laid it out perfectly. And in Haiti's case - they have developed an alergy for anything gringo. So they have a right to erase everything about gringolandia. They can prosecute English language if they want. And they can have narcos as kings just to piss ee.uu off.

We have never been a moral and religious people. That is a myth that slavery mocked, the slaughter of the Civil War mocked, that the subjugation and police state of Jim Crow made laughable. The immorality that half the population had zero rights until Suffrage made clear. That embrace of the narcissistic criminal who breaks all of the Ten Commandments, Donald Trump, by evangelicals makes laughably clear today. We are not a particularly moral people and never have been. Our only religion is wealth. This country has always been on the verge of flying apart. The only progress we’ve made is thanks to the gradual expansion of the franchise and subsequent participation in addressing grievances to government. So, I don’t agree with your thesis or your solution. I never will. We need to invest in what we have, not make a colossal mistake of ending our imperfect democratic republic.
