I've been listening to "A lodge for Wayfaring Men," thanks to this note that's linked.

I just heard an interesting line... It said something like, "intimidated people ask few questions."
That might be the thing I needed to orange pill my boomers. My gripe with them was, they never ask questions. I considered it a defect of the boomer generation, some kind of pride. Maybe they're just lost in a sea of techy stuff they don't understand, and nothing I'm saying makes sense because they don't have the first building blocks to understand it. Maybe I'm coming off as intimidating...
Okay. Some events are coming up. This time, 'gentle stream,' not 'surf the avalanche.'
It takes several touches before most of us really lean in to discovering Bitcoin.
It's far easier to dismiss it than it is to try to understand it.
Digital gold is probably the best metaphor for them to initially understand it. Maybe try to get them to trade something of value for a little Bitcoin? If you just give them Bitcoin, they probably won't value it.
Orange pill them softly & try to meet them where they're at.
At the end of the day it's on them to understand it, not you. There's only so much that you can do.
Yeah I think digital gold is a great way to introduce it. Also showing them nostr and zaps could work.
