I want to add that on the bright side... how I'm managing this is the following:

Finding new types of games that are more accessible to me. This looks like visual novels, turn-based RPGs, base-building games, and crafting sims.

I've really loved finding new indies that are accessible and make me feel like I can enjoy a hobby I thought might be lost with my illness.

Keep going friends, keep at it. You can overcome anything life puts in your way. <3
@d6c53e4a I sympathise - I don't know how much it relates to illness, but my wife suffers fatigue and became a gamer with games like Animal Crossing, particularly PC indie variations, a satisfyingly chill time sink.

Currently she's into Coral Island, but has put many hours into Dinkum. Charming, casual, calm games without much peril, but with their own depth to keep you coming back.

Personally I've moved from high tension, fast FPS to indie rogue-lites, but I put that down to age hah
@0683504d hey! Sending your wife my best... the main health issue I have is ongoing chronic fatigue so I can definitely relate to her in that way. I'm so glad to hear she's found some games that bring her joy and allow for a relaxing playthrough experience. :)

How is Palia working out for you?
@902d591f I love the world, but I’m a bit bored with what the game offers right now. It is relaxing though and I definitely recommend it still.
