@3967703f @3fe52772 Blech! Just the thought...
@71e0f389 Yeah, it wasn't a great idea. 🤷🏾♀️ @3fe52772
@3967703f @3fe52772 If I hadn't used Chantix, I'd still be smoking. I was addicted for about a decade. Since then, I've read that Chantix is dangerous. Glad I didn't read that before I used it and quit.
@71e0f389 I smoked for a long time. I used a vape to quit. I still miss it. I wouldn't do it, but I wish I could. Guess that's called addiction. ☹️ @3fe52772
@3967703f @3fe52772 That's why I'm so glad about the medication. I quit countless times, often for weeks or more, but the cravings just never went away, and eventually I'd give in again. After I used Chantix -- and for only 2 months, not the full 6 they recommend -- I could light a cigarette for someone else and not even be tempted to take a puff. I'm genuinely not addicted anymore, which is supposed to be impossible. The problem is, Chantix can lead to suicidal thoughts & behavior. Thankfully I saw no uptick in that. I did have the wildest dreams though. They were so vivid I struggled to recognize they weren't real, even after I woke up and realized how little sense they made.
@3967703f @71e0f389 @3fe52772 tobacco - my one true love. now, just the smell of someone smoking outdoors makes heads turn. a filthy, disgusting habit but i will never not miss smoking 😢 my grandmother was 80 something when she was granted a day away from hospital for some family occasion. she asked a cousin if she could have a cigarette, and as he lit it for her she started to cough. and she coughed for the next ten minutes til there was only one puff left then she inhaled deeply and coughed some more … and when she stopped coughing turned to my cousin and said “thanks, john … i really enjoyed that…”
