Government has only gotten bigger over the last 14 years, so idk what you’re talking about. This is why people don’t take libertarians seriously and why they don’t have any political power. 
 Obviously there is a delayed reaction, knowledge won't instantly change things. There is a good case to be made that Covid was peak statism. The long term downtrend in interest rates broke (harder for govs to fund themselves), the unipolar world became multipolar and 'mis-and disinformation became a thing (signals loss of control over propaganda). 

You take me (as a libertarian) seriously, because you answer me, and political power isn't relevant if people don't believe in politics anymore (where we are heading).

I wish you good luck through the Information Age, because it's going to be hard time if you can't see the changes. And in the mean time, VOTE HARDER! Because decennia of voting brought you here!
