Not sure about the rewrap yet. Best to ask you Dr that is involved with your recovery. The brace settings will let you know the degree your able to bend the knee. It progresses as you heal. 🫂 I’m sure it’s uncomfortable but it does get better ❤️🩹
Very uncomfortable 🥴 and painful 😣
What was the knee damage? My son dislocated his knee cap half a dozen times then eventually surgery. Not sure what all they did but… about a week of hell then manageable for him. 6mos out he was back to no limitations, although he was nervous much longer. His surgery was considered elective and outpatient. You’re looking like a whole nother level with immobility. So sorry. Don’t they give a pain drip anymore? Just press a button?? C’mon nurses, help this man!
Glad to hear your son made a full recovery! I had the pain drip for 24hrs and then they rugged me. (I had mixed feelings about the drip as it was making me very sick and I was puking all day with it on) To start from the beginning I broke my leg /knee in 4 places and dislocated it. I have been through a “reset”while awake on Ketamine. Then they took me to the OR and installed an ex fit. I had the ex fit for 2 weeks until swelling went down and after 2 weeks they removed the ex fit and put all the plates inside my leg. The communication has been the worse part, none of the PT?OT, Nurses, CNAs and Doctors are on the same page.
Oh no! You poor thing. You’ll have a bionic leg by the time you leave. https://giphy.com/gifs/ralph-sci-fi-scifi-3ohjV6VL4bswxVYGZ2
Don’t say that 😂 bad enough I got dead guy bones in my leg now

Damn, I’m sorry man. Sounds like they are being somewhat aggressive if they tried a ketamine infusion to improve your response to the narcotics. Regarding the current pain, someone from the surgical team needs to do a neurovascular exam to make sure there’s nothing concerning like compartment syndrome, or a dressing or cast that’s too tight. Typically the surgical teams round every morning (in the US at least) so hopefully you can ask them then. What’s keeping you in the hospital now that the ex-fix is done? Pain control or something else?
Pain control and inability to walk/ sit up on my own

How did it go? You got x-rays to show?
I posted the CT scans a while ago should be on my feed if you scroll a bit!
Severe trauma. C2 type. Plated it from both sides?
My first thought is to make sure you have a good pulse in your foot and good sensation. My second thought is, “a Foley catheter will probably, somehow, fix this.”
😂 My first thought was “Oh goody! It’s my favorite thing! An incision site that I don’t have to check!!…after making sure there’s a good pulse of course.”
@jpfrogmd are you a surgeon?!

Hey @jpfrogmd Check this out! https://i.nostr.build/W7xD.jpg
😭 I can’t unsee this! Quick @bryan tell me how I bill for seeing this! Why does it make me have the irrational urge to cancel a celebrex order?! Bro definitely needs a foley for doing this to me 🤣.
How you feeling?
