(I had mixed feelings about the drip as it was making me very sick and I was puking all day with it on) To start from the beginning I broke my leg /knee in 4 places and dislocated it. I have been through a “reset”while awake on Ketamine. Then they took me to the OR and installed an ex fit. I had the ex fit for 2 weeks until swelling went down and after 2 weeks they removed the ex fit and put all the plates inside my leg. The communication has been the worse part, none of the PT?OT, Nurses, CNAs and Doctors are on the same page.

Damn, I’m sorry man. Sounds like they are being somewhat aggressive if they tried a ketamine infusion to improve your response to the narcotics. Regarding the current pain, someone from the surgical team needs to do a neurovascular exam to make sure there’s nothing concerning like compartment syndrome, or a dressing or cast that’s too tight. Typically the surgical teams round every morning (in the US at least) so hopefully you can ask them then. What’s keeping you in the hospital now that the ex-fix is done? Pain control or something else?
