I don’t know the situation, but if Brother-in-law’s Dr (who presumably took into account your sister being vulnerable) told him to not bother with a booster, then any blame lies with the Dr?

I never had the reaction to jabs that you describe. If they affect you so much, then would you want the virus itself? Getting jabbed is in your self-interest.

I agree that his doctor might share some of the blame, I don't know how much information about my sister's situation was shared with the BIL's doctor. 

Certainly my taking the vaccine is also in my best interest as well as the two survivors of cancer I live with. 

I think my point was that even if they could tell me with reasonable accuracy that Covid wasn't a serious threat to my health, I'd still get the vaccines because of the danger to the other two people who share my  home.
